I live/work in a small, Midwestern town. I love Sky Blue Sky with all my heart too! They rock as hard as ever, but Wilco has grown up, and this album appeals to a more mature audience. I think what Tweedy/Wilco have discovered is that good song writing does not have to be full of angst and suffering to be strong or genuine. (It takes a true and strong soul to strive for hope and positivity.) Maybe those who look down on this album's lyrics will appreciate them more once they have had a little more life experience.
