  1. SSSSSHHHHHHH!!!!!!! Froggie, you could get shot saying such things where you're from.
  2. Who the fuck plans that far in advance for lunch? Pepsi-drinking weirdos, that's who.
  3. Van Halen (could also go in that "albums you can't listen to anymore" category) B-52s Ramones (I have a theory that most people pretend to like them but don't really listen to them at all)
  4. Nah. Just messin'. I'll add: The Smiths Depeche Mode Sonic Youth Red Hot Chili Peppers The Beach Boys
  5. I can't listen to any of my old Bay City Rollers albums anymore. Man, what was I thinking? Plus, I don't have the albums anymore. Also, agree with any Pink Floyd or Doors. Don't own any LZ discs but would listen to them if i did. Seeing Dumpstaphunk covering Zeppelin last month renewed an interest in them.
  6. You should read the nice things I wrote about him in the first post.
  7. You know mountain bed isn't even his real name? He's just some skinny public high school kid from Indiana.
  8. Oh man, that's the same book I bought for my oldest boy's 13th bday last summer!! Sorry to hear about the wife thing. It was probably because of that other place.
  9. Easy to Love was only ever played in the first set so nothing to compare it to, really. I didn't mind Hey Jude too much at all. Not one of their best covers, but it gave Brent another opportunity to go off.
  10. Received it in mail yesterday and gave it one spin last night. Granted I was in and out of the room it was playing in and did not catch a decent chunk of it but was not blown away by anything. Though the fiancee was humming along to if as dinner was cooking....First and scattered impression.
  11. Bill Moyers' The Language of Life is very cool, too. I got that after the PBS airing of the same name.
  12. What would be inappropriate with the Campbell books? Also, what books did you deem inappropriate? Curious George wants to know.
  13. Yeah. I have a book by Bill Moyers with a great interview of Campbell and discussion on his The Power of Myth. This is a video conversation, as well, from PBS I believe.
  14. I just read this from the former director of the Steinbeck Center about the book: "This early novel is raw, uneven and compelling, stamped by Steinbeck’s brief friendship with Joseph Campbell in 1932." There ya go, NOJ.
  15. I guess you could say the same thing for Satisfaction (and even a few of those Brent originals), but that usually worked too.
  16. Ditto! One of my favorite authors. I've read the short ones/trilogy (Cannery Row, Tortilla Flat, Sweet Thursday) tons of times and most all of his others (even Cup of Gold) but never this one.....
  17. I'm guessing the idea behind Baba O'Reilly was that it's a cool tune. I never minded the GD version of it. I think Vince brought some of these suggestions in, obviously, as he takes lead vocals on them. Always liked the GD version of It's All Too Much, too.
  18. Sounds like the work of Bigwig.
  19. No shit! I'm pretty sure he doesn't read much, though.
