  1. If the person who recorded this hadn't told me he thought it was total suckiness I might have bought it as a pretty cool cover actually. haha

but alas, this could-be-daringly-awesome cover of Kicking Television is just a self-proclaimed-poo-poo cover of KT.

  2. > for the "summerteeth" edition....there is a killer (early)version of "She's A Jar" sung in a Sing-Song rap style from 1998?

try the live debut from oct 29, 1997.... weird but nice!

For the most part we are looking for versions of songs that don't deviate too far from the studio version, but instead are just really awesome performances - good audio quality, interesting solos etc... I'll check this out, but do you have it in lossless format?

  3. We are missing a select few tracks and will post the ones we need very soon and will appreciate the help! If anyone posts tracks to sendspace and PMs me the link, I will check them out and either replace them if they fit better than the ones chosen already or use it to fill the holes. Thanks.

  4. Yeah, as far as I know, anyone who bought YHF and AGIB got access to the bonus tracks online free of charge.

There were some copies printed that included bonus discs, definitely considered an import if you are in the States. I saw a copy of YHF that had the bonus disc at TreeHouse records here in Minneapolis a few weeks ago.

  5. What a bizaare video! That camera going back and forth is like some kind of commentary on our media-saturated world - or a comment on the unfortunate seat of the person filming this video.

I'd really like to see the video that other guy was taking, too.

  6. it's clear we all want our heroes to present something more than music itself - something life-affirming, something that trancends art and is ultimately hot-wired into our DNA. We want to be able to tear our hair out and knit belts to them in tribute, to hire skywriters to adorn the heavens with the received messages and of course for the album to move a million units so we can tell the Non Believers that they were really wrong, man.

Not me. I just want them to keep touring and keep playing - that's enough for me. I think this album is a B+ and I was a B student, so it definitely satisfies me. I hope it is not the last Wilco album and it seems like everyone has forgotten one thing - the songs on the album that were at the core of their 2006 live performances (Impossible Germany, for instance) are 1,000 x better live than on this release. The songs that we haven't heard live yet...whoaaaa am I excited.
