Thanks a bunch, I will definitely be looking out for this. I did 3 Tweedy shows in a week earlier this year, heres counting on 3 Wilco shows in a weekend.

The full movie is actually on tvlinks. I watched some of it but couldn't get through more than 25 minutes, not really my thing.

to all of that.
Still #3 on my list behind Boxer, and Armchair Apocrypha, but yeah....
I'll drink to that

i love full metal jacket.
what is your major malfunction, 65days.

Well I finally made my decision when it came down to the wire this morning for the Dallas presale. I went with Wilco, even though I already had tickets for The National and I really wanted to see them, it just didn't feel right not going to Wilco. I'll get to catch them Sunday anyways.

I really, really wanted to go to this, but I was feeling under the weather. I've seen Vandervelde once--I'd say he's more of a poor man's Marc Bolan than a poor man's Ryan Adams, but to each his own... Was Blitzen Trapper selling any of their earlier releases?
That's more accurate. They had Wild Mountain Nation, Field Rexx and S/T for sale, and a bunch of shirts.

Damn, Blitzen Trapper is really good live. Too bad there weren't more people there (somewhere between 30-40), but with pitchforks "Best New Music" help and their live show, I could see them blowing up.
David Vandervelde was pretty good, sort of comes off as a poor man's Ryan Adams though. I was mostly excited to see him because of his ties to Jay Bennett, apperantly a lot of the same instruments heard on Being There-YHF are on his records.
Anyone else make it out?

Sony MDR-7506's....no other choice for $100 in my opinion.

I have a problem...
Wilco and The National are both coming to Dallas September 14th. Wilco is playing at The Palladium Ballroom and The National are playing at the Granada. I'm going to see both 2 days later at ACL, but which show should I go to Friday. I'd really like to see The National in a non festival environment, but I don't know if I could skip a Wilco show. What are your suggestions...

So this Wednesday, July 11th, should be THE DAY ...I can't imagine Jeff as a cartoon, but I CAN IMAGINE him as God
-
Holy Crap, Palladium and ACL, Wilco twice in one weekend... :)
-
Comes in second so far behind The National "Boxer" on my favorite albums of 2007 list.

I wasn't trying to be rude, honestly, I just thought it would elicit some funny (and potentially confusing for someone posting here for the first time) replys that would end up reading:
AM
BT
ST
YHF
AGIB
SBS
But I'm sure you've run into that if you've been lurking here for a while. Anyways, at the very least your post gave a new way of ranking Wilco albums, so it turns out you do have something worthwhile to post As oceanman said, take your jacket off and stick around awhile.

This first post is just asking for trouble. Fire away VC'ers...

I'm a big fan of the new album, but I still can't keep my cursor from clicking "Magnolia Mountain" everytime I open up iTunes.

I go to UT-Arlington for film and the guy who did the sound for the 8 minute short came and talked to our sound and post class. Pretty cool, it was almost shot for shot if I remember right...
