Wanda Jackson rules. I've probably mentioned it before but I asked my Dad about her one time, "Do you know about Wanda Jackson? Ever listen to her?" and he came back with "Yeah, she's friends with Lucille (my aunt)." Apparently, Wanda and my aunt were homies and did some world traveling together along with Porter Wagner. My partner went to SXSW without me (I got Andrew Bird and Heartless Bastards a few days prior) and his highlight (and the one that induces the greenest envy in me) was Andre Williams.

Holy crap. We removed Max's "wild thing" get-up today and he's anatomically correct under there! My four year-old's reaction: "Ewww. I can see the penis." That's pretty much what I say any time I see a guy sans pance too.

My kid is awesome. We stopped by the thrift store after I picked her up from school today. She went to the toys and I went to the books. Two minutes later, she's coming at me with some white and black furry thing in her arms and a big smile on her face. She found an adorable Max plush for $2! Woohoo! I'm trying to talk her into being him for Halloween this year. If she doesn't go for it, I might have to do it.

"Fill your hands, you son of a bitch!" is one of my favorite movie lines ever. If they can work that in there and have it sound as good as it did the first time, they've got me.

I caught the trailer on the big screen before Monsters v. Aliens tonight. I'm pretty sure I wet the chair, I was so excited. It looks fantastic.
