  1. Oh God, no! That's horrible, looks like just another "blow shit up" action movie. I guess I can't really judge until I've seen the whole film, but I'm pretty sure I'm going to hate it. The environment isn't nearly as bleak as I'd like it to be. I think they're going to put way too much emphasis on the people versus people shoot 'em-up action and neglect the really great stuff that happens in the quiet moments between the man and the boy. I wish they hadn't made a movie. I knew they wouldn't get it right. :ohwell

  2. I bought the book before the "Frey is a fucking poser" debacle started but never got around to reading it because I was turned off once the deception was revealed. Did he get to keep whatever bank he'd made? This was the book the publisher offered refunds on, right? Did Frey have to return any money? I think he should have made assloads of donations to addiction recovery programs as a sort of penance.

I think Tom Cruise should call Oprah and apologize for jumping on her couch. :)
I think Tom Cruise should call all of us and apologize for being such a douche bag. :thumbup
  3. My dad has leaky heart valves or something and something is up with his lungs. He wakes up from his naps with a mouth full of blood. :ohwell

We'll find out more after some tests next week. Vibes are much appreciated.

  4. If you people are going to have a sexy old broad contest, Sophia wants to join (and she's bringing a can of whoop-ass with her)...

In her day, she was head to toe hotness like no other. Gawd, she gives me the biggest wood.

  5. I actually am Loretta Lynn, just not that Loretta Lynn. Plus, I am a young long-haired brunette gal and I'm proud to be a cab driver's daughter. So my avatar kind of works for me, really.

  6. I am so fascinated by the Holocaust. I just don't understand how people can have it in them to be so cruel. How can they live with themselves?
Too many people are willing to and can be easily persuaded into doing these terrible things. I think this Milgram experiment is interesting.

    Conclusion of experiment:

Ordinary people, simply doing their jobs, and without any particular hostility on their part, can become agents in a terrible destructive process. Moreover, even when the destructive effects of their work become patently clear, and they are asked to carry out actions incompatible with fundamental standards of morality, relatively few people have the resources needed to resist authority.
  7. It would suck if every last one of the actors in that scene were dead. I'm sure I watch movies where everyone on screen has passed all the time, but with the munchkins, that'd just be too much of a bummer.

    RIP Mickey Carroll.

  8. The book is a great, quick, read. I can't remember who it was, but I recall some funny anecdotes about some famous musicians in there. I had a crush on E before, but it grew exponentially with the book. He's such a funny, humble guy and he's handled all his life's tragedies so gracefully.
