  1. I don't know why I can't copy and paste a link or get the link function to work. Bloody hell. Somewhere in the old news section of Wilcoworld.net is an update explaining that you need to register your email on their site for presale, yada yada yada. You can find a link on their facebook page from some fan comments under the new tour info post. good luck
  2. Yeah, I can't seem to find the presale code for Portland, Oregon. Any help would be appreciated.
  3. It was solid a show. The acoustic ending, venue and traveling to meet some good friends made it... different and a lot fun. However, it lacked some ummpph or extra energy. Good show, good times, but not extraordinary. I thought Nels shined the most. Wow, what's going on with Tweedy? He's looking really large. I don't think I've seen him that large since quitting cigarettes during that Kicking Television run at the VIc. He did not look healthy.
  4. We just went to Red Rocks, and we still have a local show in Bend. We've decided to skip the Portland area show. We have two tickets. The venue is all GA. It's sold out. Our tickets our email print outs. They we're $115.32. I'm going to put them up on criagslist portland for face value as well, but I thought I'd try here first for a few days. email me edit:SOLD.
  5. I thought tonights show was pretty damn great. I feel like the shows I've attended the past few years have been fairly formulaic (still awesome but..) due to the promotion of albums. Tonight was different. Kind of throwback while at the same time having some new twists to old(er) songs, plus the Guthrie covers. Not sure if I like the "different" version of Kidsmoke more than the more rocking version, but it was cool. Another song, can't remember which, also had a faster tempo and a little lower decibels than usual. Nels was scorching from the get go. Jeff was in a great mode (which isn't alway
  6. Thank you so much for this post. Though I know I was in the right, the whole situation really ate at us for a day or two, especially my wife. She doesn't do message boards, and made fun of me for posting (called me a geek). I knew either those two girls or someone near our section had to see what was happening. This helps validate how we felt about the situation. I'm sorry you had a rough time with some of those people. Part of the problem is the season ticket holders at Merryweather, but those two girls were not season ticket holders. yada yada I know someone posted to turn around and tell
  7. I've been to many Wilco shows all over the country. I thought last night's show was great (though I've yet to see a Wilco show that wasn't damn good). It wasn't Sloss Furnace or Kicking Television type shows, but great. The new songs were cool to hear live. I really can't complain about anything regarding Wilco this night. The Nick Lowe song was bitchin'. What the hell is wrong with people not only sitting during the concert, but yelling at me to sit down? It was my wife's 30th bday. I spent way to much money to get us the best spot in the house (1st row above the pit, center). As soon as th
  8. I had a plumber do work for me at my house in idaho that was his spitting image. when my wife came down the stairs that day she nearly shit her pants. she thought it was him for a few seconds. we made jokes that we should get a picture with him. I'll do it when we return this winter.
  9. I think that is a great idea. I'm glad someone else thinks that the last radiohead and wilco albums weren't great. They weren't bad, but not great. I love me some radiohead, but i don't know how IR made any of the top decade lists. Boggles my mind. On the otherhand, I think Kid A and YHfoxtrot were the two best albums of the decade and all-time classics. I'm sure it won't happen, but if it did... i'd go to every show across the world.
  10. If it's u2 music, you wasted your drive space (unless you're a christian rock afficianado). When you finish your book, let me know.
  11. I know. It cracked me up. I hear ya, but usually the fans have some inside info. I used to be on the mailing list, but sometimes it gets junked. I've tried participating here years prior (before my current ID), and it was just a bit slower at that time. Maybe it's picked up. Regardless, I'm big Wilco fan, and I'm not a newb (though i lurk more than post). But i here what you're saying.
  12. : I wish i could jiggle like that. I'm more of a bobblehead dancer.
  13. lol. I'm not a nazi. I believe in absolute freedom of speech regardless of the speech. the best way to combat bad speech is with good speech (which i believe is still the prevailing theory among philosophers, but with this up tick in socialism...). Thank you. I've just been wrapped up in a project for 8 months. I was in jail. jk. Missed everything. Didn't even get to make Solid Sound. I'll check that thread.
  14. You see, now this is good stuff. go ahead, pile on. i can take it. Seriously though, did they set any kind of time table. A chum in passing told me he heard they were taking an entire year off. That bummed me out, and i wondering if anybody heard anything beyond their in the studio.
  15. Is this one of those nazi message boards where every little detail is scrutinized and censored by someone who has nothing better to do? I would have added a question mark if i wanted it. Seems contrary to stirring up converstaion. Not like this board is on fire. Is someone going to tell me about how locals rule and i shouldn't surf their break?
  16. I don't get it. Is it some kind of "i'm a real via chicago boarder" joke, or does it upset you that the kid can dance better than you? I hope it's not a racial thing. i only choose it because the kid was obviously feeling it. pretty awesome, i think.
  17. What's the word? I don't see any dates on their site. I've been so busy i haven't had a chance to see them since Montana this winter. I'm jonesing, and i'm worried they may be taking an extended break.
  18. Did they mention what song the fans voted for?
  19. i got a an 8th row under face value on ebay. thanks. good luck to everyone looking for tickets.
  20. wilco... wilco... wilco will love you, baby
  21. I'm looking for 1 great seat. I'm hoping to find an orchestra pit or something in the first 10 rows of the front orchestra. Yes, i guess i'm being picky, but it's where i want to be. I'm a big fan who often travels to see wilco. I went down to alabama and mississippi earlier this year. I also saw them at bonnaroo. I like to be up close when i see wilco. I want to see the band interaction and every nuance of the show. I don't talk during songs, and i like to rock out/dance. If i can't find my ticket here, I'll drive to the venue, wait unitl the last minute and hope the scalpers are forced to se
  22. If your not interested in Hillbilly Love's good seats, check craigslists. There are plenty for face value.
  23. The show at Oxford was good enough. all Wilco shows are pretty darn good, but you could see the difference from the prior night. Tweedy was pissed (downright angry) from the beginning. he never seemed to get over it which is unfortunate. being directly in front of him, it kind of wore on me. i don't know, if you want to shut the crowd up, rock out the entire show. Sloss Furnace, the night before, was off the hook. Another thing, hawk and hacksaw were not a good opening act for a wilco show. sure, they're good musicians, but they just don't fit in. i'm surprised they didn't get heckled mor
