No matter what happens now
You shouldn't be afraid
Because I know today has been the most perfect day I've ever seen.

i'll belt him!. was that the one he described as dogshit at the residency shows?
Yeah. Suggested a pee break for everyone, and said it was a "contractual obligation only"

Nothing within 6 hours of me this trip. I hate you all.
Warmest regards,

Great song openings or as I say songs I like the starts of

Candy's Room - the hi-hat, then the vocals & piano, then the blast. Yep.

Anybody know this stuff? Local stuff, but not my favorite. Kind of a cross between ginger ale and cream soda. Loaded with caffeine. Sickening sweet. Curious to see if it's well known.
It's called Ale 8 1. As in "A Late One". Yeah, I know.

why so cynical?

I used to drink that stuff by the gallon. I got a bit tired of it after a while and have only had it sporadically over the past decade or so.
I've cut way back on my consumption lately, but my main poisons haven't changed much:
Diet Rite (especially the tangerine and white grape flavors)
Diet Cherry 7Up
Diet Sprite/Diet 7Up/Sierra Mist Free (if it's lemon/lime and diet, count me in)
Canada Dry Diet Cranberry Ginger Ale (when I can find it)
I'm avoiding caffeine and excessive sugar, so...
We looked all over for the diet version of that last month. Couldn't find it, and even the regular version was pretty scarce. It was a holiday favorite for us. Did you find it this year? The Sierra Mist cranberry is not nearly as good. Didn't try the pomegranate 7-up. Apparently pomegranate is the new cranberry.

Beatles - Revolution #9
hmmm. I'd agree it won't be on a mix tape any time soon, but when you think about it in context of where it's at on the album, do you still put it below every one of the turds listed in this thread?

All Fresca, all the time.

I'm also embarrassingly late to the AB party. Been on a steady diet of Eggs and Armchair for a few days, and the guy really is great. Would love to see him live. Tables and Chairs is a perfect song.
What about the older Bowl of Fire stuff? What's that like?
(btw - I expect bonus points for using the search function)

Windows down - radio up tunes:
Superman - R.E.M.
Just Like Heaven - Cure
Stop your sobbing - Pretenders
Rain - Beatles
I like that category.
Mine would be "Jane Says". The louder, the better.

What a game last night! We didn't seem to play all that well, but we pulled it out. I think the Hogs looked so bad at times because of Texas' awesome D. Stefan Welsh was the player of the game. He was in Abrams pocket all night. Also, I haven't heard Bud Walton that loud in years. It was nice. Hopefully, Arkansas basketball is on the way back up.
Woooo Pig Sooie!
You're welcome. Nice to see this guy doing well.

Reminds me of that line in Toy Story - "That's not flying. It's falling... with style!"

Inspired by MB... this was/is good stuff.

The first thing that pops into my head is "Tell Laura I Love Her" - I don't recall who sang this steaming pile of shite but as Matt said earlier, it's probably best that I don't.
True story:
I was walking along the harbor in Hong Kong a couple years ago, and this "band" of Chinese guys had set up and was playing this very song out on the walkway. Actually, it was more of "Tell Raura I Ruv Her." It was one of the more bizarre, surreal moments of my lifetime.

I heard an Alan Parsons Project song on Sirius today. I hadn't thought about him in eons. I'd like to listen to Ammonia Avenue or Eve again.

"Regular schedule" sounds like a good thing...

That's good news, I think.
Yesterday's 8-hour couch marathon (including a UK dismantling of Georgia to start it off at 12:30 ) was indeed a delightful day. Great games, both of them.
