haven't watched the commentary yet, but am going to in a little while. The band moe. has a DVD called Live At The Fillmore, and the commentary on it is probably one of the funniest things i've ever seen in my life.
Carter Beauford:
- 9.22.06 Charlottesville, VA Carter's Two Step drum solo and jam with Robert Randolph on pedal steel guitar http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ptta9IdVwyA - Say Goodbye http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oKfA8-zHn2g - Tripping Billies Kris Myers:
- 12.31.04 Chicago, IL The Crooked One
- Andy's Last Beer
- Miss Tinkle's Overture
- Mulche's Odyssey > Immigrant Song
Truly amazing, both discs, I love the part on the 2nd disc when the band's listening to ITMWLY, and Glenn and Jeff are "dancing" hilariously. Also in the same song, the camera's going around in circles and the band keeps switching places seating wise and doing funny things.
He really is, i'd rate him up there with Kris Myers from Umphrey's McGee (absolutely mindblowing, can play many, many different styles) and Carter Beauford from Dave Matthews Band (manimal is the only word i have to describe him) as the best drummers around right now, not counting my all time favorite drummer, Neil Peart. Glenn owns life. discuss.
Outtasite (Outta Mind), Outta Mind (Outta Site), I Got You, Hotel Arizona, Magazine Called Sunset, The Lonely 1, and some more that I can't think of off the top of my head. oh yeah, bring back full band Gun!
The Thanks I Get would've taken away a little bit from the album, but it's an awesome song that I hope they will keep playing and possibly release as a b-side.
