  1. Five years ago today (although technically yesterday now)...
  2. Yeah, VC is the only board I've ever been a member of and so I guess I was expecting them all to be as awesome as this place...way way WAY off base. It's a zoo over there.
  3. Anybody a member over at the RAA or tobeyoung.org? Looks like a war is brewing...
  4. Haha that would be an awesome twist> maybe all this is just a trick to get him on set in Hawaii
  5. Careful now. I think if A-man was still around at this hour he would back me up.
  6. Yeah here's the response to the stereogum stuff: I think this was a big misunderstanding. I read the stereogum thing the other day and in the beginning they usually tie in links to other related articles and when they said: "The prolific author, Oasis fan and Courtney Love lover Ryan Adams is rarely far from our thoughts." he took it as them saying they were in a relationship...or something. Gaaa...I feel like this is all becoming very Page Six/Perez Hilton.
  7. Word. Being sick and quitting smoking on top of all that other stuff can lead to some mad frustration/ill tempers for sure. EDIT: And now Foggy is gone.
  8. Yeah it's been back up for...I wanna say about a week...nothing new since about Friday, until today. There was a post earlier (basically a big "fuck you" to Stereogum for talking about the whole Courtney Love thing) and then this. I'm not sure what to think. It's hard to understand the meaning of these: "how many people asked me if i was okay in the cardinals. answer= 0" "i look forward to finishing my job so i can get back to work. as in, stuff i actually like with people who actually are interested." "i hope you don
  9. Not just that but this as well... The blog has been retitled: "choose life fuck this" and says:
  10. Yeah that Ireland show was the one I was talking about...I guess it was 2006.
  11. They did something like a 19 song segue back in 2005, and I have the bootleg to prove it. I believe they can do it.
  12. One of if not the longest song chain they've done?
  13. I'd like to see them eventually cover the Civil War. That shit would make a great superhero movie
  14. Enter the 36 Chambers destroys everything, ever. You know it's true.
  15. Initial reaction at the beginning of the vocals coming in...sounds like Guided By Voiceas At the minute mark...I'm loving that bass The breakdown...awesome vocals And when it all comes together at the end...makes me feel good Awesome song Todd. Really diggin it.
  16. If I wasn't roughly three thousand miles away I would totally hit that up
  17. On a completely unrelated note, congrats Wendy on getting that poster!
  18. I really enjoy this band but listening to some of the shows from 2005...back when they had Catherine Popper on bass and JP Bowersock on guitar. Maybe it had more to do with Ryan at the time, but they really seemed to have this smokey darkness to them. The June 16th, 2005 show at Stubb's is pretty great... definitely worth checking out.
  19. And apparently his writing...I think he wrote one of the blurbs for the book.
  20. Here's what I currently am using (none of the pictures are of the ones I actually own but they are the same make/model): Stringed Instruments: Breedlove Acoustic - for some reason within the last week or so it just started sounding even better...not too sure why. Fender Jaguar Reissue (with Mustang bridge) Gold Tone Banjo Electronics: Fender '65 Deluxe Reissue Proco RAT Distortion Boss RV-5 Reverb/Delay Digitech Bad Monkey Overdrive -> really cheap ($40), and surprisingly great sounding Misc. Hohner Marine Band harps Epiphone SG (forget the model) with a we
  21. That's a great point. The leak hasn't dripped onto my computer yet...I think I might hold out until the vinyl gets here, but I can completely understand what you mean. It seems every time he says something it is about how much he loves playing with the Cardinals. I was worried when I heard some of the new songs from bootlegs from the Oasis tour...they seemed almost like a misstep. I think that the quickness with which he wrote and recorded the album is probably why. PS: Foggy is back
