  1. I'm really diggin the new stage setup. Wish they were headin out west, maybe sometime in early 09.
  2. Ooops good call. I forgot that a track list had come out. Either way the songs on there are pretty kickass.
  3. That's weird, when I pull it up it has Gimme Sunshine, Black Clouds, I Still Miss Someone, and Learn to Love as well as the clip of Fix It and the studio version of What Sin.
  4. I did this with the Beatles and only ended up with Revolver, Magical Mystery Tour, Sgt. Pepper, and the White Album. The only ones I've actually listened to since doing this a couple of months ago have been Revolver and the White Album.
  5. Or for Dear John. Yikes, wrong alternative country star. (And even worse joke.)
  6. But wait...there's more! Head over to the myspace and you can hear a couple of full tracks from the new record. It sounds very interesting.
  7. A couple of new things over at the cardinology mailbox. One is a link to enter yourself in a contest to win a watermarked autographed CD and signed poster a week before the album is to be released. The other is a clip of the first single "Fix It".
  8. I love how (more or less) evenly distributed the song selections are.
  9. I'm the only Quiet Houses vote? Also I think I voted wrong because I chose that as well as Blue Ridge Mountains. Was that not supposed to happen?
  10. And Foggy is back up but it says on the side since Ryan broke up with the internet, he doesn't post anymore. But the other dudes still do.
  11. I saw this tour at one of the stops in LA at the Troubadour. The first band (local I'm assuming) was alright, put a lot of heart into it and I could see that Doug Martsch was digging it from the window up in the green room. The second band, Quasi, was just as good as I could have hoped for. In fact I went as much for them as I did for Built to Spill. Sam had this goofy look on his face for most of the songs...kind of made him look like a skeleton or ghoul. Afterwards I saw Janet, the drummer, at the merch table and was so star-struck that I forgot to ask about the new album. Built to Spill was
  12. Oh man I was just about to put this but then didn't think anyone would know what the hell I was talking about. I love this band.
  13. If I remember correctly he has provided pretty accurate information before. I'm not sure who he is exactly, but I think he's pretty reliable. EDIT: Info up at Lost Highway
  14. According to a link on the homepage of ryanadamsarchive.com their new album called "Cardinology" (and billed as a Cardinals album [not RA and the Cardinals]) will be out October 27th. This info comes from a British website and since records come out on Mondays over there, and the 27th is a Monday, it seems like a possibility. Although there is some discrepancies over the veracity of it all, so this is just a heads up. Could be jumping the gun here.
  15. Anybody go to any of the Troubadour shows?
  16. Yeah I was kinda bummed when Joss Whedon and John Cassaday's run ended, but Ellis is taking care of business.
  17. I love that song. Nate Dogg and Warren G bout to regulate!
  18. Yeah I'm still patiently waiting for the bootlegs to start showing... hoping for that Cardinals show in San Fran from before the Oasis tour shows up today, before my five hour drive tomorrow.
  19. The episode of South Park where Dio plays the school dance was on the other night. "I know you all remember this one. It's off my first solo album. The song that you all helped me make number 1!"
  20. I borrowed the collected Marvel Civil War from a friend last night and read it straight through...it was soo good. I highly recommend it. Also went down to the shop today and got the new one off Beast Origins....I didn't like it as much as the Jean Grey stuff, but it was still really well done. Also I don't know if anyone reads Astonishing X-Men but I picked up #26 today and boy oh boy it looks like shit is going down!
  21. Oh maybe I was getting confused then. I think during the show he was just talking about how obsessed he was with her and how he named Heartbreaker after the song. I'm going to go eat a sandwich. And also how he would redecorate her apartment (the one where she doesn't know how many bathrooms there are)
  22. I was listening to a bootleg of one of the early 2008 shows, I think it was Berkley, but DRA's between song banter covered his obsession with Mariah Carey, and he thought that one of her albums would make a great metal album, all slowed down.
