Been listening to that a lot lately.

I've seen John Neff play with the Truckers, but this was back in '99, during the heyday of "Pizza Deliverance" tour. I think the DBTs were a side-project for Neff, back then. I love me some pedal steel. That's great to know that he's still playing.

You're absolutely right. He was not an official member in the early days. Now, with the departure of Jason Isbell, he's a full-fledged member of the band. His pedal steel and slide guitar on the new Truckers album, Brighter Than Creation's Dark, is amazing.

There was a lot of hype surrounding the release of Chrome Dreams II and its connection to the original, unreleased Chrome Dreams. I think that set up some unfair, lofty expectations for CD II.

RNS is interesting because I believe it was recorded before the studio versions were recorded and released. So we had a skewed time line where we hear the studio album and a year later got the live disc which was recorded before the studio versions were released. Always liked it though.

I think you're confusing Live Rust and Rust Never Sleeps.
