I would agree that The Beatles are the greatest rock band of all time. I'm a fan.. My parents are fans. My 78 year old Grandmother is a fan. My 9 year old son and 4 year old daughter are fans.
How many bands can you say that about?
-
Yeah, gonna have to pick that up. Especially since the proceeds go to charity.
-
JT really needs to do a job on Emmylou.
Not sure Sue would be too happy about that..
-
Well, which is it?
It's Yes. How can you trust a band whose lead singer can't even spell Tom correctly?
-
Outside of that "Creep" song, Radiohead has been completely off my radar screen. Is that a good thing?
Yes.

Was ist das?
Christmas lights still up by February. Which usually means they will be there all year..

Yeah we went pretty crazy with the Christmas lights this year. Like, Griswold crazy. Another one of my favorite things about Christmas; competing with neighbors to have the best decorated house.
-
We've gone from having a huge elephant in the room and being totally crushed (he died in September 2010, so that first Christmas just a few months later was brutal)
Yeah thats how it was last year for my Grandfather. My Dad does his usual toast at the dinner table every year, and he couldn't get out a sentence without getting choked up.

After a 1997 performance by a band that shall remain nameless, my 12-year-old daughter told one of the members that she'd recently seen a Pavement show. His response was, "Twelve years old is just about the right age for liking Pavement."
Good response actually.

Amazon is a godsend. Amazon Prime is the gravy on the balls of that godsend.
QFT. We literally bought all of my kids presents last year from Amazon. Didn't set foot in a single store.
I dig Christmas. Just the whole vibe and atmosphere. It's the only time of year that I'll eat amazing home cooking, seasonal beers, and not feel guilty about it.

I don't know how they could be called underrated. They might not have had much commercial success, but anyone that knows anything about good music knows that UT is legendary.
-
Indeed. It was just like that for me. After the second time it really clicked...
Keep in mind I was stoned as fuck, but still.

Well just short of a half a year later, finally going to get to see Deerhunter this weekend. I have a feeling it will be quite a different crowd/atmosphere than Dr. Dog last weekend. I think you have to be a little weird to be a Deerhunter fan...
-
You should see what they try to do with Dr. Dog. It's basically all Delta Spirit songs.
-
You should start hanging out with Lammy. He goes to 100+ a year, according to the poll.
-
Ok, sports deity. Sports star? You like to argue just for the sake of argument, don't you. You should have been an attorney.
-
To everyone that says he's one of the greatest that ever lived. But yes, fuck him.
-
Yeah and Ray Lewis basically killed a guy, yet he's a sports hero.
-
Hey, I saw them Sunday, drove the hour+ back home, slept less than 4 hours, and went to work the next day. For Dr. Dog, it's worth it!
-
Yeah, kids, age, will do that. My wife and I were at Dr. Dog the other night and remarked that the crowds seem to get drunker and stupider every year. Talking, acting like jackasses, shoving people aside to get to the front. Either I am getting older and less tolerant, or concert goer's are indeed getting more doucheyer.
I probably go to about 4 or 5 shows a year.

Agreed. I place them in the same category as Nickleback and Creed.
