  1. By the by, as it turned out said waitress had forgotten her card while shopping in Wal*Mart and was holding up the line when she confronted me. The cashier had to come out of the store and ask her if she was going to come in and pay for her stuff or not.
  2. Well, I think my friend's point was more "I've had it!". For the record, plenty of ppl leave 10% all the time or just round it up and think it's okay. I work in a very small, farm community, tho. I believe that's where the ignorance parts comes into play. One guy a couple of weeks ago ran up a $113 bill for him and his family and in front of my entire section hands me some money and said "It's a $113. There's a $120 there. That's enough, right?!?" What was I suppose to do?!? I can't tell him "no". So I just said "yup". He goes "Are you sure?!?" I replied "yup" again and walked away
  3. So as some of you may know, I am a waitress. I was a banker for 16 years and concurrently in the restaurant business for 4 1/2 of those years. I moved to waitressing full-time a few years ago. There are ups and downs of the business as one can imagine or as some of you may know from experience. The biggest up and down often occurs when it comes to people tipping. I'm sure a lot of different factors NOT just the service go into the amount left. Some things being income level, mood, food quality and sometimes honest to goodness ignorance. So this is my story... My best friend took my daughte
  4. I know you're RARELY wrong, but I expect SOMETHING from you now
  5. I'm nervous... And apparently alone...*sigh* Told ya, told ya, told ya
  6. Okay, "The Pips" audition had to be the BEST part of the SEASON!!!
  7. Ummm, who are these kids who needed no introduction?!? EDIT: Never mind...just heard it at the end.

  9. Hhmmm...I must be missing an "inside" joke or something
  10. I really think you need to re-listen to it.
  11. I'm not saying Archuleta isn't any good. I just think he belongs on Broadway or something. I can DEFINITELY see him winning a Tony! I think Cook has a wider appeal across the masses therefore would sell more records. (Plus, he's HOTTT!!!)
  12. Just my opinion (and my prayer) man...
  13. Maybe they're mesmerized I'm calling it... COOK for the WIN!!!
  14. This ought to be interesting. I'm definitely rooting for Cook. And that version of U2's song was a SLAM DUNK in my book!!!
  15. I ended up only watching those two songs and a little of 'Fever'. I felt like I should've paid more attention but I guess in the end I'm glad I didn't bother. Even my girls have been losing interest. They want it on in the background but they rarely pay attention. Oh well...there's always NEXT year
  16. I LOVE young people...they make up a good percentage of my friends
  17. I myself do not however I have two very good friends who do, not just regularly, but like it's their job. The only thing that bothers me about it is the lack of sleep and how while it seems social yet it tends to be anti-social IRL. I mean they have these "raids" that last 4-5 hours and usually in the middle of the night. They have made some good friends, tho and even did meet them IRL finally. One finished school and graduated with the degree he wanted and is on his way to running his own restaurant. The other is kinda of what one would call a "bum", a little wayward, doesn't have much mo
  18. David A - I get the Billy Joel but he just doesn't "fly" with the Chris Brown
  19. Happy Birthday to a wonderful and generous person! Have a great one Tam!!!
  20. Forgive my tardiness. Hope you had a FABULOUS day and have a wonderful year to come!!!
