  1. Wonder who that dude is who's bent over just to the left of the pillar.
  2. I was hoping for one, too. The Shake it Off DVD was really great. Hearing some of those live versions of the songs helped ease me into those tracks. I actually think the loft version of Shake it Off and Sky Blue Sky are my favs of those tracks.
  3. Live music is better, bumper stickers should be issued!
  4. Everyone keeps talking about good and bad production, but that's a very subjective concept. You have a lot of guys like M. Ward who fear the big fancy sterile studios and pass them up for small operations. He's even gone as far as recording in his friend's attic. There is such a thing as over-production, and in a way, it seems WTA has lost something from that.
  5. This track def. left a sickly sweet taste in my mouth... I think this is their poppy track to get onto the iPod commercials.
  6. I've admittedly only listened through once, but my first impression is that some of the songwriting is a little elementary and week. Almost sounds like something a high schooler would scribble in their room in the night. I still need to listen to this on the road, though. Always helps to cruise the countryside to ease in to a new record.
  7. I sent you a link- should be in your inbox...
  8. Wow this is some great news to brighten up a shitty monday. Love CO's music. Here's a show they did a while back for KCRW's Morning Becomes Eclectic that is worth checking out for anyone who wants a preview of sorts: http://www.kcrw.com/music/programs/mb/mb08..._oberst_and_the EDIT: Oh shit, I read the dates too fast and didn't see July. I'm going to the Cinci show in June. Oh well, hopefully they'll get someone decent to open. MMJ would work for me.
  9. Oh, I can totally see her bobbing and strumming some Muzzle of Bees!
  10. Who would replace Pat if he died? I'm guessing you could find lots of people who look like him.
  11. I know what you mean. Someone once told me his main mic went out, and the remainder of the song was recorded through his guitar mic. I haven't actually confirmed that, though.
  12. Ah, an excellent recording. Very spooky and ambient. I bet you could hear a pin drop at those old Dylan Acoustic sets. Not like Jeff's rowdy crowds!
  13. Jewels and binoculars (should) hang from the head of the... camel
  14. I'll try not to spoil it, but I have to know: what's with the random trumpet solo in the middle of Bull Black Nova? And the car noises?
  15. I hate to get back on topic () but it's been a few days since this shit has hit the fan. Have there been any rumblings about a possible court date or settlement?
  16. Sweet, I think I asked this somewhere else, thanks for the confirmation!
  17. Hey Wilco, if you guys are reading, now would be a great time to stream the album. You know, to take the attention off of other matters and while people are going to your web site because they're reading about you in the news... hint, hint.
  18. Timothy P. Donohue must have a Myspace account.
  19. I know Jay shaped Wilco, etc, but this whole thing still smacks of gold digging. The main work in question came out almost seven years ago... suddenly Jay has expenses and this is a big issue.
  20. Can't wait for Jay's next album: "Whatever Happened, I'll Sue Your Ass Off."
  21. Ooooh, poor taste...
  22. I was going to help you out but the PM function is still defukt...
