  1. My old sansui 2000 has one of those buttons, but sometimes mono Lp copies have entirely different mixes than their stereo counterparts. Sounds of Silence, Sgt pepper, Over-Under-Sideways-Down are just a few examples.

Lots to remember about our experience getting those coveted free tickets. We were standing at the Festival at 7:10 watching Spoon and decided to make our move. 2 buddies were gonna meet us near the UT Campus. The most popular thought amongst the 4 of us was to place ourselves at The Hole In The Wall. We bought a portable radio earlier and by 8 PM we were finally at our vehichle. Had to be a mile and a half at least. Our wives went back to the hotel to hang with the other girls after dropping us off on Guadalupe. I asked a lady where the Communications Bldg was and she pointed across the stre
  14. Expectations play a significant role when it comes to concert perceptions. I was still reeling from the Wilco taping when we jetted over to Dylan. We went from comfortable air conditioning to an overstuffed oven. I left the show of my life to see what could have been the bust of the trip. I was scared!!!!!! When Bob started up I felt relieved, the band got to cookin' and I was joyous, Guitar work was tremendous, after 4 songs The Wilco show was being Challenged!!!!! Of course, things mellowed and the heat took over, we had to drop back about halfway through. Nothing will ever touch Wilco, bu
  15. Yes, I read the reviews. The Festival show seems to have lived up to what everyone else was telling me during the weeks prior. "You'll be sorry" they said. The push to see him Sat instead of Sunday was well worth it, which also allowed time for us to just chill-out at Shady Grove after Wilco.

  19. He captured a lot of attention with a slower, bluesy song (I don't know the name of it). I wasn't aware he was THAT good on the guitar.

Thanks, I can share more later about what all went down. Until then, enjoy these pictures from The Show and Festival. The ACL taping did not allow photography by the audience..........as was the case with Dylan @ Stubb's. We didn't mind.
  22. The sun was setting into our faces as Tweedy & Co performed a great set. Having been to the taping yesterday, the setlist was quite similar with a few extra gems. The difference in sound really made me appreciate Sat afternoon. Lucinda came on before our heroes and was suprisingly good. Very Tight!!!! Ben Kweller even got a little bluesy with a fantastic guitar solo!!! go Ben!!! Well, it's off to the airport......then work............then finally, home.
