I love the live stuff. The version of "Shot In The Arm" from Kicking Television is bliss!!! I think that is the way music is meant to be heard, performed live. I get a whole new respect for a band if they have a solid live show.

So the Winnipeg show is officially cancelled, we even have our money back already. Why do we not get a rescheduled show?!?!??!?! That really sucks!!! I am pissed. Maybe they will come early in '08. I can always hope..............

Also, does anyone have any idea who is opening for them at this show???

My last post was lost so I will do this again. I am so pumped to see them again, in the beautiful Walker Theater (I refuse to call it the Burton Cummings Theater, as his voice makes my skin crawl!). This show is also four days before my birthday, so my wife got me the tickets as a birthday gift. This is her first time seeing Wilco, so she is really excited. This will be my third time. I saw them in '97, and last year on Canada Day. Is anyone else in here going to the Winnipeg show?

I saw the show in '97 when Wilco was part of the Another Roadside Attraction with the Tragically Hip. Gord Downie, lead singer of the Hip, is a big Wilco fan. At this show was the first time I ever heard Wilco, and I thought they were pretty cool. They played alot of songs from "Being There". I remember "Outta Mind, Outta Site" sticking in my head. As for the Hip, they are, in my opinion, one of the greatest live bands you will ever see!

...made me realize how special this band truly was, and really inspired me as a musician. I will never forget the first I put the disc in player and I heard the opening of "I Am Trying To Break Your Heart". This album was also the topic in one of the first conversations my wife and I ever had when we met 5 years ago.

Hey folks! This is my first post. I am turning 29 on Aug. 19, a mere 4 days after I will see this wonderful band in Winnipeg for the third time. My wife got me a ticket as a birthday present. I am really pumped, and SOOOOOO looking forward to hearing all those great new songs live!!
