Kiss & Ride

Paging through this week's issue of Sports Illustrated when I happened upon The Pop Culture Grid on page 19 (a weekly feature where they poll random professional athletes about random things). Fourth question: "Wilco is ..." The four responses: "Unknown in my world"; "I have no idea who that is"; "No clue"; and "I don't know". No harm no foul, as I had never heard of any of the four athletes polled.

I attended game #2 of the NLDS (Phillies/Brewers) at Citizens Bank Park in Phila. last Thursday I forget what inning it was. C.C. Sabathia walked Pat Burrell and they played "Walken" as he trotted down to 1st base.

"California Stars" - also easy to play. Outside the realm of Wilco, I always go with Roxy Music's "More Than This"

Would love to see them play the Tower Theater. Hands down the best venue in the Philly area in my opinion. Saw Norah Jones & Ben Harper & The Innocent Criminals. Great sight lines and the acoustics cannot be beat. Plus Guinness on tap. Enough said.

Regardless of where they play, they need to get back to Illadelphia yesterday. Saw the Summer '05 show with MMJ at Festival Pier: beautiful night, my two favorite bands - couldn't have asked for more. The Tower would be the perfect venue. My wife and I saw Norah Jones there a few months back. As far as acoustics go, the venue cannot be beat in the Phila. area. Looking forward to seeing Ben Harper's acoustic show there on 09/22.
