  1. Pictures from Morgan's party and the show. (new camera - still learning it - some blurry pics)

Thank you Morgan, Erin, and Wendy and Edie.

I had as much fun this weekend as I've ever had. You all are so great! Thank you.

I thought Jeff was much more comfortable with us than last year. It was as if he was one of us. The humor, back and forth, was like in-family.

The setlist was amazing, with first-time solo versions of Radio Cure, Hummingbird, All The Same To Me and One True Vine. Goddamn!

Mountain Bed and Family Gardener were stirring. I'm Always In Love with Neil and Someone Else's Song with Matt were pure pleasure. Thanks guys.

The best part though, as always, was meeting new friends and again spending time with old friends, and feeling lots of love. We are so fortunate that this person has brought us to this place.

    Dude!

    Those pics are Dyanamite!

You gotta say it like Jimmy Walker

There are some beutiful people there!

    nice man

It was good to see you again, and I'm looking forward to our next meeting.

  2. lmao maybe we should take to wearing our VC names on nametags at their shows. We could save time that way. We could start a VC name tag business...

Perhaps a VC jersey with your name on the back?

    What color?

But what sport would you emmulate with the jersey?

    soccer?

American Football ( I don't belive in touchdowns)?

    baseball (High heat)?

    Maybe swimming...Speedo

    ..or not.

    Stupid?

    Yeah...It's me

    :P :monkey

  3. yes, he plays guitar and sings for his own band, Pronto. he also played guitar once during a wilco show, I believe it was Summfest 2003.

    Wow! I love the tracks!

Yeah, hopefully wilco gets him into singing more, and or, Pronto tours in Wisconsin sometiome soon.

    Thanks Larry :yes

  4. I did 8 miles on the bike last night.....averaging about 11mph

I did swim that 1/2 mile in the pool this evening. 35 minutes.....at least I know I can do it, even a good chunk of it was breast stroke. I am struggling with freestyle. My body doesn't tire out, though my breathing does.....any pointers?

    Practice.

  5. If teh Wilcos ever pay Indy again in the summer/early fall there's a lot of campgrounds 15-20 minutes away (up near Deer Creek) that would be PERFECT for this type of thing. That would be awesome as hell.

    THAT does sound like fun

'spose we sould do a jammers post during roll calls for shows?

um, we dont wanna scare the band away :lol

maybe they'd be offended enough to jump in?

  6. I didn't hear SBS at all until it came out--I resisted the urge to listen to the streams or the leaked copies or any of it. The only songs I'd heard were the ones they'd played live the summer before. I instantly loved the album because it just seemed like the exactly right soundtrack for where I was in my life late last spring and summer. Once the summer was over, I really didn't listen to it much until the last few weeks. I spent 8 hours in the car last weekend, and I listened to SBS the whole time and fell in love with it again. I don't understand the haters; this is a seamless album both musically and lyrically, and my favorite after YHF and Being There. I can't wait to hear where they go from here.

Don't you love that when you fall in love again and again with a song/album/woman/man? To me it is the true mark of a great person/piece of art. It's even better when while you are falling in love all over again with your significant other (something I happen to do once or twice a week), you can share somthing like SBS at the same time.

I totaly geeked out when I met nels and john, and michael, after the first show of the residency. I told them all that their songs are old friends.

    I'm a stupid geek :P

  7. Ha! That must have been a fun moment. :wub

Obviously I only joined in Aug of 07. My first Wilco show was in '95, but I was oblivous to a fan board for a very long time. I'm glad I finally joined because I've met some very kind VCers at shows since then.

    I joined with her! :wub

    Love that girl!

  8. I can't belive the negitivity surrounding this! Was it like this when Ole boy Nels got the Monkey Pox? I'm so glad that only the positive people were/are the ones standing in line hours on end for the shows. If I had run into this negitivity during the residency, it would have been a major downer!

But everybody was cool. It was great! Best Rock and Roll experience of my life, and it wasn't all due to the band.

    We're all fans!

    Relax!

Let's Celebrate! ( like cool and the gang)

    Smoke or drink somthing fun!

    WE WILL SEE THEM AGAIN!

    love you guys,

    Baloo

    ;)

  9. :lol

v-dub, if you posted a thread a couple of days before a show in a roll-call fashion, you would def. see some people showing up with instruments. you might have to be the first one to bust out your guitar. break the ice, don'tchewknow.

the first person near the players to bust out a hackey-sack gets rolled, though.

for the record: i am not a musician. i have been known to sing loudly and off-key.

I don't care, I'm not even close to the end of the line leading to the greatest guitar player, just as long as we can have some fun before we have some fun. :ermm

I hear there's an opening for musicians in Charleston this weekend

    :lol
