Yeah I passed on the presale tickets because of this.... bought them through the APE presale/ticketmaster yesterday. About $6 cheaper each. I agree the $12 UPS only option is kind of ridiculous. There are plenty of smaller ticket agency that can mail these types of tickets standard USPS, which is both way cheaper and much more convenient for those who work during the week and can't sign for them at home or work.

Selling my two Santa Barbara tickets. MEZZ R, Row MB, Seats 36&38 (aisle). Face value ($122 for both) plus any necessary shipping fees. These hard tickets I purchased off the ticketmaster pre-sale. I'm in Oakland, CA. Just decided I can't swing it after catching all 4 NorCal shows this past week. PM me if interested. Thanks!

ROW J seats are sold... still have the ORTRRT, row D, seats 10-12 -
Looking for a pair of tickets to 2/10/12 at the Arlington Theater in Santa Barbara. Ideally something in the front half of the floor seating area. Thanks so much!

So I ended up with two extra sets of 3 tickets for the 2/1 show at Mondavi in Davis. If anyone is interested, they're decent seats. ORTRRT, row D, seats 10-12 (that's orchestra terrace right--aisle seats) and ORTRCR, row J, seats 105-107 (that's orchestra terrace center) SOLD $170 even for either set of three--face value of course. I'd like to sell these as complete sets rather than breaking them up. http://www.mondaviar...ackson_hall.pdf http://www.soa.utexa...oles/boles5.jpg Can do paypal and mail, or meet in the Bay Area. These are hard tickets that I just ordered via ticketmas

Ticketmaster is a weird system indeed... I have definitely on many occasions scored MUCH better seats after refreshing for 30-60 minutes through "no tickets available" or other crappier seats. You gotta figure that a lot of the crappier seats that pop up during those times are just simply fans or scalpers pulling them and then releasing them, and thus, just luck of the draw. But take the Davis show for example, between both my Dad and I in the presale yesterday and today, we got two sets of three seats way in the back. Tried today for about 30 minutes to pull something better and was getting n

Anyone been to the Arlington in Santa Barbara? I pulled 2nd row balcony, aisle seats in the presale today... just wondering if they're total crap, or if there are some nice sight lines and sound back there... tough to gauge looking at pics of the venue...
-
Sure it's that for SF? Only reason I ask is because SJ, Oakland and Davis are all APE presales, and SF is KFOG/Goldenvoice, so thought it might be different...
-
I get the whole process was a joke, but why do people think these presale tix went to scalpers? If they did, and you buy one, then you're gonna be sitting next to the scalper or meeting him/her out front... I doubt many scalpers got them or will be able to keep them because supposedly Wilco and Frontgate go through all the broker sites and cancel those tickets listed.... General sale is an entirely different story though...

Yeah the waiting room thing was definitely off-putting... made it very confusing about what to do, whether it was advantageous or disadvantageous to refresh, etc.... Sat in the waiting room from 9:54 till 10:20... then got in, and refreshed refreshed refreshed for 30 minutes and somehow managed a pair of SJ, and singles to SF and Oakland. So, happy about that...but what a pain in the ass. Did anyone actually get tickets in their cart BEFORE 10AM? Just curious if it was just the "waiting room" thing that started early, or if the whole sale did...
-
"waiting room" started at 9:54AM PST... haven't got past it.... did end up refreshing a couple times to see if that helped but probably just bumped myself to the back of the line... seriously though, wilco and frontgate are wasting a lot of people's time with this format, especially by not making clear the process of the waiting room and so forth (refreshing will set you back in the line, etc)...

Can anyone who's purchased tickets in any of the recent presales answer these questions...? 1) Were presale tickets will call only? 2) Was there a ticket # limit? Just trying to coordinate with friends who's gonna try to get tickets for each show since many of us are trying to catch multiple California shows... I remember there being a four ticket limit and they weren't will call 2 1/2 years ago when they last went through California, just wondering if that's changed... Thanks!

Fox Oakland is awesome. Warfield SF is good too. Never been to San Jose Civic... heard it's pretty good. Mondavi in Davis is a beautiful building, but a pretty conservative theater... i.e. no food or drinks pass the lobby i.e. bring a flask

Had the same thought this morning when I put it on for 'bout, say, the 35th time in the past two weeks. -
What a great album-- I think the thing about W(TA) and in some spots, SBS, you could hear the weaker parts (or to keep it objective, just the parts that didn't grab you at all) on the first listen... and while it always changes with time, I can still see why I thought that the first time listening to those albums. No moments like that on this album for myself personally. Sounds completely solid from start to finish. About halfway through I started and couldn't stop thinking "white album" myself.... never personally really felt that much beatles filtering through any of their previous albums...

Is it just me, or do California Wilco fans always seem to get the shaft? I'm really not trying to complain but more of just wondering if my observations are accurate or if there are any thoughts on the matter? It seems like Wilco passes through California once a year, at best. Last summer was excellent because we got three Northern California shows...now mind you we had to drive several hours between them all, but I can't complain about three consecutive nights. But in general, I live in Northern California, and if I want to see Wilco more than once a year in the Bay Area, I have to drive at l -
