A couple albums from down under top my list: Salad Boys and Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever not necessarily in that order, but not necessarily NOT in that order, either. Others that I liked: Klaus Johann Grobe Ohmme Tom Zé Domenico Lancellotti Joe Pisapia Reissues/compilations/archival: Dur-Dur Band - Dur-Dur of Somalia, Vols. 1 & 2 Various - African Scream Contest 2 John Coltrane - Both Directions at Once That David Byrne was probably the most-disappointing new album that I've heard this year.
