  1. So, I'm pretty sure that I mentioned my friend John on here before. He goes by the nom de band "Happy Ashtray". Anyway, I think he's a pretty amazing musician (and not just because he's a friend; he's also a perennial favorite of Richard Milne here on WXRT in Chicago). I got this from him in my email today: Go, John, go!!!
  2. Just a warning then: That disc 1 looks like it is nothing more than The Way of the Vaselines.

  6. Yeah. That and a lot of the Birthday Party stuff.
  7. I was on the fence about him, too.
  8. Yes. Because he was so damn over-the-top that you had to laugh, even while you ducked and cowered.
  9. My list begins thusly: Sid Vicious Peter Laughner Ian Curtis Darby Crash G.G. Allin (although his was of a comedic variety)
  10. And, someday I'm gonna get my turntable fixed and start buying LPs again, too! (I don't even own an iPod)
  11. That was the first one that disappointed me. Although "The Right Time" is a great song.

  15. Anything on I.R.S, really. That is, except Document, which is good, but certainly not great. And not the best place for a neophyte to get their feet wet. Hell, I'd even recommend Dead Letter Office before Document.
  16. I just like 'em. Mars Needs Guitars is kicking my ass right now. I forget how much I love this record, and don't listen to it enough. Hello old friend.

  19. Thanks for listening. Thanks for the feedback! It was very helpful. I'll be taking the song down later today, if you wanted to listen and didn't have a chance to, or if you just want to hear it once more. I'll put it back up when the album comes out.
