  1. Not this recording, but this show.
  2. Back to albums: Milton Nascimento - Geraes
  3. And now... I'm Shuffling my entire iTunes library of songs. It's a good way to hear things that I haven't heard in a long time. I'll post a screen shot of "Recently Played" stuff when I'm done with this experiment later today so you can see what came up.
  4. Not a great year, IMO. But there were a lot of good albums that merited repeat listens. So, here is my list of favorites, in only rough order: Kiko Dinucci - Cortes-Curtos Chicano Batman - Freedom is Free Meridian Brothers - ¿Donde Estas Maria? Shugo Tokumaru - TOSS The Bats - The Deep Set The Black Watch - The Gospel According to John Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever - The French Press Cate Le Bon - Rock Pool Zebra Hunt - In Phases Doug Tuttle - Peace Potato Barry Adamson - Love Sick Dick EP Slowdive - Slowdive Melange - Viento Bravo REISSUE WORTH NOTING: Los Camaroes - R
  5. The National - Sleep Well Beast
  6. Passo Torto & Ná Ozzetti - Thiago França
  7. The (admittedly few) folks that I know from the area speak of them with reverence, and the couple of articles (from local rags, such as the one that I posted the link to) also speak of them as if they were locally huge, but otherwise unknown. It's all second-hand information, but I felt confident enough about my sources to speak with certainty. Maybe I was wrong. Anyway, did you listen to the music? THAT speaks volumes.
  8. Weird. Everything I've seen points to them being these legendary figures on the scene there. Did you read the article?
  9. https://open.spotify.com/album/4g36X47iD0mmXwqc4t9kGQ
  10. I get your point. Unless you're from Vancouver, where they are legendary. Did you check them out?
  11. While I agree with your first assertion, the second part of your statement is an obviously fallacy, based upon the history of past inductees. This is not an award for artistic merit, this is a popularity contest. By that measure, they absolutely belong in.
  12. It's like the Vancouver, BC version of the return of Jesus Lizard, only bigger, since they've been gone so much longer.
