My favorite album of all-time. So, I would disagree, Louie.

I have that comp. and was listening to it this morning. Currently waiting for The People Who Grinned Themselves... to arrive in the post. I also have a couple of Beautiful South records, but not the debut, which I am to understand is their best. Now: where would you suggest that I start with the Heaton solo stuff?

Just found this one at a library sale for $1. I remembered hearing good things about it, so I picked it up. INSTANT OBSESSION! It was just one perfect gospel-inflected English pop song after another. I am now on a quest to get everything Paul Heaton-related that I possibly can. It's the kind of music that plasters a smile on my face that I cannot remove.

This. Yeah a lot of the individual phrases are so damn stilted, but you put them together and the man could definitely paint a picture with words.

Maybe as a rule, but I really enjoyed the hell out of her last solo record.

I pre-ordered it and am still waiting for my copy to arrive.

"Three Days" is a better bass line.

I do think that's a pretty fair assessment, nonetheless. "Three Days" ?

I think that there are at least 2 great albums—Nothing's Shocking and Ritual de Lo Habitual. And a 3rd that is very, very good (the live, self-titled one that came out before Nothing's Shocking).
