  1. Anyone else think this is crazy? I just checked the Iowa city show and there were still tickets in the first 15 rows available. I am really surprised these haven't sold out already. Maybe the presales were not heavily advertised. I suppose it is good and bad. Good for people wanting tickets.

  2. Don't know about the rest of the people that were there, but I was pretty pissed. Jeff was great, don't get me wrong I really like the song choices, but the people that were there. Perhaps it was just those around me, but god lord they almost ruined the show for me. The guy who wanted his Adult Head signed was kind of sitting in front of me. By kind of I mean he and this other guy who was passed out for the time he was sitting there were constantly switching places. Or else no one was sitting there. I was in section A so these were not the seats that were easy to get. Also the loud guy who was stoned was super annoying. Bring that shit up knowing (or maybe not) that Jeff has been sober for years? very confusing. maybe I am just being particular, but a solo almost acoustic show that cost many dollars, I would prefer if it was quiet (sining along is of course fine) and still during the songs. Oh well hopefully tomorrow night will be better.

  3. For the past two years my family has played gift card bingo. My parents cash in their credit card points for hundred of dollars worth of gift card. Then after opening presents on Christmas morning, we play bingo and who ever get bingo gets to choose what gift card they want. I ended up getting enough to get my gf's presents for free. The bingo gets kind of old by the 10 game. But it is a good way to give out the gift cards to the people who would use them rather than making assumptions about that.

  4. 10am MST, here is the link, you just have to sign up to be a "KBCO Interactive listener":

    Tweedy tickets

I signed up, but when I try and log in to the site it cannot find my email. Perhaps the radios stations site is just over loaded?

any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks for the link, by the by.

  5. Perhaps I am out of the loop, which is entirely possible, but how does one get the pre-sale password in advance? In the past, I seem to remember, that I would just log on to frontgate at the appointed pre-sale time and buy tickets. Am I remembering incorrectly? Please set me straight, or at the very least pm me the password.

The stub hub tickets are likely those evil ticket brokers. They promise to get the tickets and then resell them to you for more money. They offer them in advance of the tickets being offered to the public so that concerned concert or event goers buy from them in advance out of fear of the show selling out.

  6. World Cup 2018 to Russia and 2022 to Qatar.

I figured Russia would get it over England (no offense but their bid had so many internal problems and an kind of arrogance), and over the others because of them being joint bids; something Fifa does not like.

I figured Australia would get 2022 over the US and did not really consider Qatar to be a serious bid. They have the money now to build the stadiums and finance all the air conditioning they want, but 11 years is a long time (in economic terms). I don't doubt they will be able to pull it off, but I would hope that by then we as a planet would not be so dependent upon their oil that perhaps their pockets will not be lined with our money.

  7. I spent about 6 months in New Zealand studying in Christchurch. As Such I spent most of my time on the South Island. I did spend about a week in Rotorua with the study abroad program. We also went to the Agrodome and everyone there seemed to have a really good time (I was not as fascinated because I grew up around farming sheep, but the sheep dogs are still really cool). I would say that if you are up to it to go Zorbing is is really fun. Queenstown might be the most fun city on the planet. There are all sorts of adventure things to do from sky diving, to white water rafting, to jet boating, to Fergburger. Depending on you level of adventure of course. A trip to Milford Sound is well worth it. I would recommend taking a bus down and take either a plane or a helicopter back. It coast more, but I took the plane back and wow it was awesome. The glaciers are great. There are some great breweries in Christchurch. I went to this one and it was really great, Wigram Brewing. If there is a rugby game defiantly get to that. If it is warm go Summner beach. If you are a Lord of the Rings Fan there are no shortage of opportunities all over the place to see where that was filmed. Castle Rock is a great place outside of Christchurch to see some of the outdoorsy shoots that are in the movie and you can go hiking there as well.

I am very jealous of your free trip,if your wife decides not to go I am more than willing.

  8. Kind of late, but anyway...

My lady friend has this ninja costume. She has had it for like 5 years so for 5 years she has gone as a ninja. I think it is great, but other not so much. I think this year i convinced her to go as one half of insane clown posse. I am not a big fan a 'couple costumes' but i think this might be the furthest from one there is.

What are other going/already went as?

SUPERIOR COURT OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA

FOR THE COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES

CURT SCHLESINGER and PETER LO RE, )

on behalf themselves and the Certified Class, ) No. BC304565

    Plaintiffs, )

    v. )

    TICKETMASTER, a Delaware Corporation, )

    Defendant. )

    NOTICE OF CLASS ACTION

TO: All persons who purchased tickets using ticketmaster.com during the period from October 21, 1999 through May 31, 2010 and were residents of the United States at the time of the purchase.

    PLEASE READ THIS NOTICE CAREFULLY.

THIS IS NOT A NOTICE OF A LAWSUIT AGAINST YOU

WHAT THIS LAWSUIT IS ABOUT: Plaintiffs filed this case on October 21, 2003. The case is proceeding as a class action on behalf of United States residents. The claims challenge Ticketmaster’s Order Processing Fee and the fee it charges customers who select the UPS Delivery option on Ticketmaster’s website, www.ticketmaster.com (the “Website”), for ticket purchases made by United States residents over the Website between October 21, 1999 and May 31, 2010.

The purpose of the notice is to advise you about the class action, including your rights in connection with the case. This notice is not intended to be an expression of any opinion by the Court as to the merit of the claims or defenses in this case.

The Order Processing Fee Claim. Plaintiffs assert that Ticketmaster’s Order Processing Fee is deceptive and leads consumers to believe that it represents Ticketmaster’s costs to process their orders, and that the Order Processing Fee is just a profit component for Ticketmaster, unrelated to the costs of processing the orders. Ticketmaster disputes these allegationsand disputes that the Order Processing Fee is deceptive.

The UPS Delivery Claim. This claim is brought only on behalf of the Class members who selected and paid for the UPS Delivery option. Plaintiffs allege that Ticketmaster’sUPS Delivery option is deceptive because it leads consumers to believe the price they are paying Ticketmaster is a pass-through of the fees that UPS charges to Ticketmaster and that Ticketmaster substantially marks-up the amount it actually pays to UPS. Ticketmaster disputes these allegationsand disputes that its UPS Delivery option is deceptive.

The Honorable Kenneth R. Freeman has ordered that these claims, made under California’s False Advertising Law and Unfair Competition Law may proceed as a class action consisting of: all United States residents who purchased tickets using the Website during the period from October 21, 1999 through May 31, 2010 (the “Class”). The Court also ordered that a subclass consisting of those class members who also paid the UPS Delivery Price, may proceed as a class action (the “Subclass”). By allowing the Class and the Subclass to proceed as a class action, the Court has not made any determination about the merits of either claim. All Class members will be bound by the outcome of the Court’s ultimate ruling on the Order Processing Fee claim (unless they timely opt out of this case, as described below). All Subclass members will be bound by the outcome of the Court’s ultimate ruling on the UPS Delivery claim (unless they timely opt out of this case, as described below).

If Plaintiffs prevail on their claims, they will ask the Court to award appropriate relief, including requiring Ticketmaster to repay to each Class member any money that Ticketmaster has made as a result of any conduct found to be illegal. Ticketmaster disputes that its conduct is illegal and also disputes that the Class members are entitled to any refunds.

The Court has set the case for non-jury trial beginning January 26, 2011.

The Court has ordered that this notice be emailed to the Class members and publicized. This notice explains the nature of the lawsuit and informs the Class members of their legal rights.

YOUR OPTIONS: If you are a member of the Class and wish to remain in the suit and participate in any potential recovery, you DO NOT need to do anything at this time. You will be represented by the attorneys for Plaintiffs and the Class, who have taken the case on a contingency basis, meaning they will be paid only if they obtain a recovery for the Class. Any fee eventually paid to Plaintiffs’ counsel must be approved by the Court, which may require the payment to be deducted from any recovery obtained in this case, or paid by Ticketmaster, or both.

You have the right to exclude yourself from the class action by filing a written request for exclusion with the Notice Administrator either electronically at www.ticketfeelitigation.com or by mail sent to: Ticket Fee Litigation, Strategic Claims Services, 600 N. Jackson Street, Suite 3, Media, PA 19063. The notice of exclusion must be either postmarked or received (if sent by means other than U.S. mail) by the notice administrator not later than November 8, 2010. You must list your name, address, email address and the name of this case. If you do not exclude yourself from the Class, you will automatically be in the Class and be bound by the results of the lawsuit.

The description of the case is general and does not cover all of the issues and proceeding thus far. A copy of the Third Amended Complaint can be viewed online at www.ticketfeelitigation.com. The file in the case is a matter of public record and may be viewed by visiting the Court Clerk’s office at 111 N. Hill Street, Los Angeles, California.

  11. hey ashtray,

I am not sure what Av secuity suite is, but I hope you got rid of it if it is bad. I would suggest also getting glary utilities to help clean up and stay cleaned up. I love it. It is not really security software but does scan your computer and gets rid of all the left over junk on it.

Anyway, I am at my parents and every time I click on a link from my speed dial, ( I use opera) it goes to a searchassist.teoma page. Even if I type in something into the address bar it still goes there. Any ideas about how to get rid of this? Maybe it will go away once I am off my parents network.

  12. Picked up some Woodford Reserve last night. Dam tasty stuff that is. It is hard to choose one at the liquor store that I like the best. Just got to try them all I guess. As an old New Zealand brewer told me the prize goes to the person who tries the most kinds of alcohol.
