  1. Baltimore, Philly and Brooklyn. But I agree, they'll be back before the end of '08.
  2. Just keep trying. Dime deletes inactive accounts refreshes their numbers about every 15 minutes.
  3. He did, I know a couple of people who went to both shows that night. IIRC, the HoB show was listed as midnight but he came on around 1:00.
  4. In 20 years he's going to do another trilogy and those will be renumbered as 4, 5, & 6.
  5. My top 5. The order is somewhat flexible. Highway 61 Bringing it all Back Home Blonde on Blonde Blood on the Tracks Freewheelin'
  6. When I heard their first single "I'm Not Going to Teach Your Boyfriend How to Dance" I thought they were trying to be the Go! Team, but I've heard more and nothing else gave me that feeling. They did a recent in-studio on KEXP but it's not in their archives yet. I wouldn't kill myself to get there but if you've got nothing else going on I'm sure it would be a diverting way to spend an evening.

  8. I'm pretty sure we gave up the right to actually have personal preferences as part of the membership Terms & Conditions for this site.
  9. Don't take it all out on Tweedy, I'm sure he didn't make the SNL decision alone. Or did he... (yes, I know what you meant but I don't think you know what Muncle Douchey meant)
  10. But SBS won't always be last. (presumably)
  11. There really is no thinking required.

  13. Watched it again, there's a bald guy who I guess could be Ian. The straight looking guy on the left who shakes Philo's hand could be Lyle Preslar... maybe.
  14. That would be better than "Beef Baloney". That album was the "official soundtrack" for the Cross-Bronx Expressway on our sundry roadtrips in college to visit friends going to school in New England. (25 years ago ) http://www.imeem.com/krokodyle/video/KyuTs..._fear_music_vi/ I don't think I've seen that since it first aired. In retrospect it looks pretty staged. ("go down to central casting and round up some 'punks' ")
  15. Jumping to conclusions never got anybody anywhere.
  16. in a perfect world that would be everybody
  17. If I read the release correctly they chose Blu-Ray because you wouldn't just have to passively look at pictures scrolling by but could actively search pictures, documents, etc. while listening to music. The BD-Live feature would also allow them to add stuff to your collection (presumably on storage on your netwrok but logically (magicly?) tied to the overall package). I'm sure the technology is quite cool and I'm equally sure that Neil is being well compensated for being Sun's poster-boy for this (as opposed to just doing it to be difficult). Anyway you slice it this is for hardcore fans a
  18. I always pictured something like this...
  19. You need (or at least really want) the $25 Blu-Ray remote. edit: Blu-Ray might not work with a non-HDTV... http://www.ultimateavmag.com/hddiscplayers/1206ps3blu/ The PS3 does not have a conventional set of component jacks. So if you are planning to use component video instead of HDMI you'll have to use a special Sony breakout cable that has a proprietary connector on one end (which plugs into the player's so-called Multi AV output) and analog component video and 2-channel stereo audio at the other. This cable is an extra-cost item, available separately. An S-Video breakout cable is also
  20. Apparently not just play Blu-Ray but also support BD-Live. Panasonic just announce the first non-PlayStation machine that supports it. $700. http://gizmodo.com/387607/panasonics-dmp+b...-blu+ray-player
