  1. Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit with Lonnie Holley
  2. Cut Worms. I missed most of their set at Solid Sound last year, so I'm excited.
  3. Tyler Childers - Rustin' in the Rain
  4. Everything But The Girl - Fuse
  5. A day late but I saw Son Volt last night. I love their new Doug Sahm tribute album and wish they'd played the whole thing. Also, would it hurt Jay to smile at least once? The band sounded great, the show was fun, and the heat inside Tipitina's was pretty brutal.
  6. I love it! I hadn't gotten into a Son Volt album in years until this one came along. I plan on picking it up at tomorrow night's show in NOLA. I'm hoping it will inspire Jay to pick up the pace and the mood a little on future offerings.
  7. Al Green covering Lou Reed? Yes, please! Perfect Day
  8. When Horses Would Run by Being Dead
  9. It was an excellent show. The crowd was into it, the venue (Saturn) was great, and the band seemed to be having fun. After the show I met each of them. They signed a poster I bought at the show, and Mike and Peter signed my copy of Lifes Rich Pageant. Got pics with Mike and Scott also. I wanted badly to attend tonight's show in Atlanta and tomorrow night's show in Athens, but work wouldn't allow it. You'll enjoy the Evanston show. I'm sure it'll be excellent.
  10. A day late with this...the Baseball Project's tour opener in Birmingham.

It appears that some of the GOP presidential candidates are becoming more honest in their criticisms of him. Why not? From the perspective of political strategy I understand why they've tip-toed around him. However, they have no chance to win the Republican nomination unless the party decides its interests no longer coincide with his. That is extremely unlikely to happen. As such they should at least go down swinging. At least they'll be on the right side of hi
  12. It will be the best show I see all year. It doesn't matter who I see the rest of the way. I rode a natural high for a month after the show, and it's killing me that I'm not seeing them again this time around. Decades ago I was a HUGE fan of The Cure. When I spent a college semester in London, I bought as many singles/b-sides as I could find. I saw them in 1996 during the Swing Tour, and it's still one of the best shows I've ever seen. I graduated from college, my life changed, and my fandom more or less lapsed for no specific reason. I saw them a couple of times in 2016, and both shows were g
  13. With three shows I'd say your odds are good!
  14. So jealous! I saw them in NOLA last month and am still floating on a cloud from that evening.
