When Horses Would Run by Being Dead
-
It was an excellent show. The crowd was into it, the venue (Saturn) was great, and the band seemed to be having fun. After the show I met each of them. They signed a poster I bought at the show, and Mike and Peter signed my copy of Lifes Rich Pageant. Got pics with Mike and Scott also. I wanted badly to attend tonight's show in Atlanta and tomorrow night's show in Athens, but work wouldn't allow it. You'll enjoy the Evanston show. I'm sure it'll be excellent.

Can We Talk about Politics & Stay Civil?

I want the orange menace to go to prison and to spend his remaining days there because that's the best case scenario for the country. It appears that some of the GOP presidential candidates are becoming more honest in their criticisms of him. Why not? From the perspective of political strategy I understand why they've tip-toed around him. However, they have no chance to win the Republican nomination unless the party decides its interests no longer coincide with his. That is extremely unlikely to happen. As such they should at least go down swinging. At least they'll be on the right side of hi -
It will be the best show I see all year. It doesn't matter who I see the rest of the way. I rode a natural high for a month after the show, and it's killing me that I'm not seeing them again this time around. Decades ago I was a HUGE fan of The Cure. When I spent a college semester in London, I bought as many singles/b-sides as I could find. I saw them in 1996 during the Swing Tour, and it's still one of the best shows I've ever seen. I graduated from college, my life changed, and my fandom more or less lapsed for no specific reason. I saw them a couple of times in 2016, and both shows were g

With three shows I'd say your odds are good!

So jealous! I saw them in NOLA last month and am still floating on a cloud from that evening.

That's a great run. Yo La Tengo announced yesterday that they're playing two nights in NOLA in September. Can't wait!

It's a solid album. As a fan of Soccer Mommy's last effort I really enjoy their collab "Losing You." As with the rest of her albums it definitely has a 90s vibe. It seems like the 90s are having a moment, and I'm here for it.

Wowza.

I've only seen them four times, but for me they've never had an off night. Even on just a "good" night to me they're better than a lot of live shows. The NOLA show restored my interest in the band after a couple of decades during which my fandom had waned. Robert's voice is still amazing, and I'd forgotten how many great songs are in their catalog. The merch lines in NOLA were insane, so I didn't even bother. I ordered a second edition show poster when they were posted online. I don't have any plans to attend another show on this tour, which makes me a little sad. I've totally gone down the Cu

Nice! I'd love to get ahold of their NOLA show. That night made me a fan all over again.
