  1. Yea going back to the production, it was very challenging at first but now its what I really love about it.

The spaces between the music are exceptionally brilliant.

Lyrically as well I feel it reaches something that the other wilco records don't. I sometimes take it for granted but its rare to find real poetry

in rock and roll, Hell is Chrome is poetry. "The air is crisp like sunny late winter days, springtime yawning high in the haze"

  2. "I'm not entirely sure what you're trying to say here. Are you saying it's wrong not to like a song, but not have a reason why you don't like the song? Why would you have to have a reason for not liking a song? "

I was just saying that I can agree with someone

  3. I watched this really great documentary of sonic youth making daydream nation and Thurston Moore was talking about how

he considers his band simply a Rock and Roll band. His explanation was that the palate Rock n Roll gives is limitless.

I think this applies to Wilco aswell, alt country means just as little as noise pop to me and w.e direction the band goes in

the structures are always rock n roll. Unless they make a ambient Jazz record(please don

  4. whoever said Wilco playing Walken is embarissing you have some issues"its not your band"theres nothing for you to be embaressed about

its this kind of entitlement that turned all the country soaked Tupelo fans on their heads when Tweedy decided to spread his wings

  5. the only danger I see is if they decide to put it on autopilot and cruise on Wilco's past reputation. Everyone goes through phases like that, but I hope it doesn't happen here now with Wilco.

I think Jeff Tweedy is to muh of a music fan/nerd to do that. I think his awesome taste will fuel his ambition

  6. hello all in VC land, I am a new member to the forum although I've been using VC for wilco info for two years now.

I am a musician/writer myself but really I am just an appreciator of music and this band you all know Wilco.

    :thumbup anyways I
