  1. I saw them at Red Rocks opening for Sheryl Crow that year (1997) as my first live Wilco experience.

I saw Wilco Open for SC but at Sunrise Musical Theatre in Sunrise Florida.  I also saw them in 1995 open for the Jayhawks (loved TTGG and never heard of Wilco).

    Others that come to mind:

Black Crowes opened for Robert Plant.  I had heard Twice as Hard and felt like they were pretty good.  Crowd basically booed them off.  Chris was not Happy.

Radiohead opened for REM on Monster Tour.  Some guy outside begging for tickets only cared about Radiohead.

I am sure many others just can't think now....I will add if I come up with others.

  2.

It is with the saddest of hearts that we bid farewell to our dear friend Eddie Harsch. Eddie was a brilliant musician, with a beautiful heart. We should remember Eddie for his music, his great sense of humor, and his positive outlook on life.

We ask that everyone please respect the privacy of Eddie's family at this time. Let's honor him by celebrating his musical contributions to the world, and by sending positive thoughts and prayers to him and his family. Our hearts will forever remain with our musical brother.

SHIT...that stinks....always seemed like a happy guy....I know he had his troubles with "stuff".

  3. I don't get when people say this or that is not rock and roll.  Rock and Roll is not just 4 white guys (Guitar, Guitar, Bass, and Drums).

In fact look at the fathers (James Brown, Chuck, Little Richard, Elvis.....) they would not fit the bill if they came out today.  What about Motown?  Muddy Waters?

It is really an attitude mixed with music.  If NWA is not rock and roll what is?

Not sure what the cutoff actually is (Barbara or Carpenters) but Hip Hip falls under this umbrella for sure.

  4. A real shame that I hey are not playing together. I've seen CRB and not even in same league as the Black Crowes

Imagine how great they could be if they gave a shit and played 2.5-3 hour shows like our boys Wilco do. They have a HOF back catalog and know how to pick covers. Ever hear their cover of Girl from the north country

  5. I feel like I have done this before but anyway I will try to remember. As some of you, I have been to a lot of shows...since 1981 till today.
