actually, i like the drones... but they were far from their best. they're actually cool guys with great senses of humour... ...and that guy who made the comedy festival gag was a complete loser. i had the misfortune of standing next to him and his singing was loud and horrible during the wilco set, and wouldn't stop pumping his fists...

finally got my melbourne ticket. btw, the supports as follows... brisbane - the mess hall sydney - bridezilla melbourne - the drones quite like the drones, but have seen them a bit much over the last couple of years. a lot better than the alternatives though... i feel sorry for sydney peeps...

can somebody do the espn-style commentary in the break? it wont be the same without it...

just got back from our sydney trip with froggie and co. don't know if he mentioned it, but thanks to some quick thinking from the female members of our entourage, we managed to coax our way into the aftershow party, where we got to rub shoulders with the band, and a-list celebs like... toni collette... and... well, that was about it. but still. nels gave me the secret to a good jazzmaster. yep. argh!
