  1. My friends have all begun mentioning to me when they hear Wilco somewhere out and about or at work.

    this happens to me.

I got emails from 2 friends last weekend telling me that Wilco are mentioned many times in the movie "Funny People".

    (like I didn't already know)

  2. In 2003, I saw Evan Dando and Vic Chesnutt at the Orangepeel in Asheville and there were maybe 50 people in attendance. The OP holds about 1000 people. It was great not having to wait in line for beer. Awesome show though.

I saw the Lemonheads in June 2009 in a small club in Toronto, couldn't have been more than 100 people there.

Evan summersaulted onto the stage & put on an excellent show

  3. I don't think anyone in the band cares what the newfound GaGaGaGaGa fans think. Sadly, this record's reviews will all point out that it's there "anti-pop record" or their "Kid A" or whatever, but it's not without truth. I love this album so far, but it's not them taking a shot at the big time. However, the songs are great, and it sounds like Spoon. It may not have horn sections and poppy choruses, but it sounds like Spoon. Sounding like Spoon is never bad.

(just saying my husband is a new Spoon fan, who loves Ga (because it's so poppy), but think he might not like this one as much).

I agree, this one fits, I love it more with every listen.

Trouble Comes Running is so great.

  4. My husband & I are watching from the beginning too (he stopped watching in season 2).

We're just starting Season 4 now.

I am getting way more out of it this way & find it easier to follow.

I agree, the week(s) in between you lose so much.

I think I may watch all of season 6 by dvd.

  5. Not sure how this will hold up with any of the new fans that got hooked on Ga?

It is not as catchy. I loved the horns on Ga.

And I agree Britt has the sexiest voice in rock. Love the scream on Written in Reverse

Looking forward to seeing them in TO, will be my first Spoon show. Too bad it's at the Sound Academy, not a fan of the venue.

  6. Interesting information that I just stumbled upon on another forum, and possibly a spoiler:

The characters of Trinity's wife and daughter, Sally and Rebecca, have different last names on imdb than Harry and Jonah.

    hmmm.

a girl at my work thinks that Trinity might be Dex's biological father.

  7. When I saw that scene, I thought he was trying to get himself bludgened to death, making him the "father killing" victim and ending his cycle/life. And that possibly, he was reinacting the moment his father was bludgened to death.

I was thinking that too. Lundy kept saying Trinity had returned "home" with these killings, I was thinking he was trying to get himself killed, ending the cycle perfectly.

Obviously he is deeply conflicted, a serial murderer/deacon?

I'm thinking the coffin is for himself. Trinity will figure out who Dexter is & Dex will kill him.

Dex's last murder was too rushed, he didn't investigate/stalk him enough to make sure.

  8. "While I go gas up the truck, Pack the old love letters up, we will read them when we forget why we left here"

Damn that song just hits me in the guts every time.

Have you ever tried to make a mix of songs that just make you ball every time you hear them.

    1. If It's the Beaches - Avett Brothers

    2. I Called You Back - Bonnie "Prince" Billy

    3. Still Fighting It - Ben Folds (Have a little boy, and you'll see)

    4. Landslide - Smashing Pumpkins Version

    5. Fatal Wound - Uncle Tupelo

    6. How Do You Keep Love Alive - Ryan Adams & the Cardinals (the most beautiful line ever "I would have held your mother's hand on the day you were born" Or that could be creepy?

    There's a start to mine

Never heard "Still Fighting It" before, just watched the video, it's really sweet.

Being a mom of two boys, Conor Oberst's "Danny Callahan" gets me every time.

  9. I'm thinking now it was Quinn.

Deb didn't see the shooter, she was shot in the back & was staring at Lundy. She never turned around.

Lundy definitely had a look like he knew the shooter & was confused.

Quinn was also first on the scene, and they said money, purse were taken.

Maybe he has a drug problem? Maybe he's in with the Vacation Killer?

I think he's manipulating the reporter, to give her leads, away from him.

  10. :lol I'm really sick of Rita ... wish Dexter had never married her.

    ugggh, I hate Rita!

I love how Dexter kept his apartment. Was that ever explained?

I never considered the fact that it may not have been Trinity that shot Deb & Lundy. It makes sense though, you would think that Trinity only makes precise killings with lots of planning, everything would be thrown off to him to shoot two people.

I'm thinking Anton is the shooter now too.
