  1. totally addicting!

It's really hard for me to get the Godfather up to #1 because it never pairs with the right movie :(

I know! It has Reservoir Dogs as my favorite movie, but really, I've only liked it better than what it's been paired with.

I'm going to have to do this again with more thought.

  2. this is me, only difference, replace husband with family and friends. and you know what, i could care less what anybody thinks.

    my friends do too.

They play poker, video games, go to yoga, garden, whatever.

    I'm into music.

It's my thing, my hobby, what makes me happy. I'm not ashamed.

  3. I hate, hate when people air their personal stuff on facebook.

I have a "friend" from highschool, who updated us on everystep of her husband's affair & her marriage breakup.

To all 200 of her "closest" friends. Pathetic.

When I do update my status & it's a song lyric, it's actually never how I'm feeling.

It's usually because I can't get the song out of my head.

The other day it was "Courtney.. the beast and dragon, adored".

I had a few friends who liked my status.

No idea if it's because they knew the song?

I don't think it's a cry for attention, maybe just interested to see if anyone likes the same music as me?

  4. Agreed. Not sure about best, but damn damn good. So good I don't mind singing about a little kid dying from cancer at the top of my lungs and dancing.

I love the first bit of the song, but it's too sad, I always tear up at the end.

  5. My wife's birthday came one month after we met. I don't remember what I got her and neither does she. I'm sure it was something okay though.

I remember the first gift I ever got from my husband 11.5 yrs ago, was Christmas & we had only been seeing each other for a month.

He took his brother's girlfriend shopping for me. She picked me a sweater that she would have worn (burgandy with stripes) and an ocean smelling perfume. I hated both of them. I got him a Verve CD & Martini glasses & Martini recipe book.

You never know, you could be looking back on this gift for the next 20 years!

  6. I was really asleep at the switch for this...just saw the band in Lewiston and figured the Massey tix would be really expensive like they were in 2007.

Anyway I just got two in the gallery for the 15th and I'm gonna take my 12-year-old daughter to her first Wilco show! Hopefully this show sells out fast and I can try to 'upgrade' to better seats for one of the shows. Already looks like there isn't much left for the 15th.

I dragged my husband to Lewiston & he didn't actually think I would want to see them again so soon.

He's not into it, so I asked my little brother, who's 17, to come with me. He's very excited!

  7. in the last few years most of my annoyances are with General Admission shows:

-people who rush the stage, when you've waited in your spot for an hour

-drunken wanderers who spill their beer on you/your sandals as they pass you

    -aggressive dancers

    As for Wilco shows,

I'm 5'2 & in Lewiston a very tall man stood in front of me.

He did ask if I could see (I couldn't) & then shifted over a bit so that I could.

    nice.

  8. I love this topic!

In my darker moments: "I know I would die if I could come back new" or "I myself have found a real rival in myself, I am hoping for the re-arrival of my health." (This is probably my favorite Wilco lyric)

In my hopeful moments: "Just smile all the time" or "Maybe I won't be so afraid...I will try to understand, either way."

In my resentful moments: "I hate it here...when you're gone" or "I tap my glass and nod my chin and wonder who you've been in rhythm with."

Then there's the story of my life: "I'm braggin' I'm always in love" and sometimes "I'm worried, I'm always in love." LOL.

My status is usually lyrics, not always Wilco.

    No one ever gets it.

  9. I've always hated Courtney Love for ruining my name.

Being a "Courtney L. O." in the 90's was tough.

Even teachers called me Courtney Love.

I'm not a fan of her music, but I think she's an interesting character.

  10. I'm completely upset at this whole experience... no luck today either, only singles available.

I've never had such bad luck getting tickets before.

    today I hate everything.

    praying for a 15th show.

    edit---

    just called Massey Hall...

got 2 singles 2 seats apart third row balcony!

hoping people will move over & let us sit together (but I would still be ok if they didn't)
