just read that, probably only a one year thing for the A's, Holliday is a free agent next winter and the A's probably wont be able to resign him it's still unclear who will be in the deal in return to Colorado but Im assuming Huston Street will be, the Rockies will need a closer, Street is expendable for Oakland with how good of a year Brad Ziegler had in Oakland last year....he will probably get a shot at closer, or Joey Devine

I'm not sure how productive Teixeira would be on the Nats at least the next couple of years, they are a really bad ball club, I watched tex play just about everyday for about 5 years and he is a good player but not worth $20 mill per year, I need to hire Scott Boras to represent me as my agent when I have my review at work for a raise, he could probably get me a million per year Tex is from MD but he is also a huge Don Mattingly fan, I could see him on the Yankees or Dodgers, As long as he doesnt resign with the Angels I dont care where he goes, I dont want to face him 15 times a year

as a Ranger fan Im kind of upset they picked up the option for Blalock, he is always hurt and he has nerve damage in his right (throwing) arm so playing in the field is probably out of the question for a whole season, even when healthy he hits like .260 and strikes out a ton, he played a little at first base last year but Texas has Chris Davis who is the future at first base and had a very solid rookie year, I would have rather used that money to get a pitcher

Putz has awesome stuff, he took a step back last year but that might be a cheaper alternative to K Rod I do like the gray National jersey, the red alt is sweet to, but the blue alt looks like a softball jersey

Young might not even be the Rangers SS in 2010, they have a kid named Elvis Andrus in the minors who has much better range and a much better arm, if they dont trade him for some pitching or in some dumb move Andrus will be ready in 2010, he made a lot of errors last year in AA but he was like 19 Sonnanstine or Edwin Jackson will be traded cuz David Price is obviously ready to be the 5th starter

The gold glove kind of becomes like the Pro Bowl in the NFL sometimes, it's like oh you have won a few gold gloves before we will give you another one I watch the Rangers every game with my MLB extra innings package and Michael Youngs range is awful, he needs to be moved to second base, love the guy but he didnt deserve the GG at SS

I wouldnt call what K State did under Snyder "national prominence".....they made some bowl games and won ONE conference title, Snyder did a great job building up that program but people always forget the massive choke job his 1998 team had, that was the best team in America that year and they chocked in the Big 12 title game and lost in the Alamo bowl to Purdue, also K State for whatever reason thinks college football began in 1990, they quickly forget how terrible they were for so long, also with Mangino at KU good luck getting the best in state players, K State will now join Iowa State back

K State and Iowa State are two of the toughest jobs in the BCS conferences, it's not like Texas where 5 star guys grow on trees

AJ Burnett is now on the market, he could be had for like 4 years 56 mill, I could see someone overpaying for him though, he could get something like 5 years 80 mill, he is very good when healthy, probably not an ace but a solid #2

nice haha Greene was amazing at Clemson in college, saw him play at the CWS in 2002, the talent is there but he keeps getting hurt and he hasnt really developed as a hitter, pretty good defensive SS though
