I agree. Sometimes A Great Notion really hit me as a work of such pure yet complex genius.
I picked that up on a whim at a library book sale and was blown away. One of my and my wife's favorite books.

Those are amazing shots Tinnitus. Better than anything I have seen in the news stories. I have a live solo acoustic album he did that is just amazing. Our band worked up Seasons and just started playing it live before This happened. The guy was a talent.

Saw Real Estate a few nights ago. They were excellent. I am a sucker for their sound. The new guitar player is (surprisingly) an improvement.
Love them but have to give the new album a few listens. Has not really hit me like Atlas did.

Loving the new MST3000 episodes on Netflix.

Really looking forward to this. Can he sustain his level of greatness?
Released June 16.

On season 5 of mad men. A little behind the times I realize. Just watched the episode where Draper throws on Revolver, Tomorrow never knows specifically. Thought maybe his mind would be expanded but he seemed rather indifferent.

So for the longest time my Tweedy SG sat in it's case in the basement. I was frustrated that I could not keep the damn thing in tune. I have several other guitars so just kind of forgot about it. Finally decided I wanted to do something about it and brought it in a few weeks ago and had them put a bone nut on it. Don't know why Gibson insists on putting a cheap, shitty plastic nut on a $1700 guitar and I had a feeling that was the issue. Anyways, it's like I have a brand new guitar. Played the thing all night and it's solid as a rock and sounds amazing. Why I didn't do this a long time ago I have no idea. Can't wait to play it at the next gig.

Just secured myself one of these. Oh well, picture too big. It's a chocolate peanut butter imperial stout from Liquid mechanics. Only 350 bottled.

A new Real Estate will be nice.

Mad Men season 1. Yeah, I'm a bit behind the times.

SRV opening for Berlin at Red Rocks, played after Talk Talk.
Thom York playing Solo acoustic in a park in San Francisco right around the time of Creep being a hit, 1993. Played with mighty mighty bosstones and a few others. Pretty small crowd.

Pinball Wizard by Elton John when I saw the Tommy movie. Still like his version.

Jason Isbell and Lucero tonight at Red Rocks. Every time I see him it's in a bigger place than the last. Good for him.

Band of Horses in the mountains. OK it was Thursday night. Best show I have seen by them.

Just saw a Primus tribute band called Mr Knowitall that was amazing and it reminded me how much I love them:
