  1. With all the Radiohead deluxe editions, this would be really cool. It would mean that there could be a disk 2 with songs such as "Cars Can't Escape" and "Nothing Up My Sleeve." It could be for the ten-year anniversary of the release... just a thought.
  2. What was Bull Black Nova like? I'm curious about that one.
  3. Sure, and by the way, you are very lucky to have caught those shows and met John. I love New Orleans so much, and I will be going to college there next year. Can't wait! Cain's Ballroom: Ashes Of American Flags (Sound check) Side with the Seeds Handshake Drugs Tipitina's: The Late Greats Kingpin Mobile Civic Center: Wishful Thinking Impossible Germany Ryman: Via Chicago A Shot In The Arm Monday 9:30 Club: You Are My Face Heavy Metal Drummer War On War As for the extras, I'm not sure... I'm sure you could break it down
  4. Summer Teeth: After the instrumental when Jeff sings, "He feels lucky to have you here"
  5. I like Crush the Cities... maybe some old black and white shot of an earthquake destroying shit but also, as referenced by Mr. Tweedy in Champagne... Auschwitz: The Meaning of Pain
  6. wait, how have you heard these?
  7. I hear that, Via Chicago on Kicking Television is amazing, and it was even more epic seeing it in person at the Pageant.
  8. I agree, but a lot of that is due to the fact that the current lineup has only done Sky Blue Sky in the studio. I love that record, but it did not involve the band using that kind of energy. I guess we'll see what direction the new record takes, but I will love it unconditionally.
  9. I downloaded two mp3s of "new songs" from the Bridge School Benefit... It wasn't until I heard the name of the song and listened closely to the lyrics that it was "My Country Has Dissapeared." I don't think those mp3s are available anymore, unfortunately... The quality isn't great but it was my favorite of the two (The other was "I'll Fight")
  10. Yeah, I'm listening to the studio version of Reservations now, and it's great... A really nice way to wind down. When I'm in the car, I just wanna blast the energy of the live shows though.
  11. Amen, I've heard a live version of the song, and I didn't think, "Hey, I'm gonna judge this because of the supposed message behind it." No way, I thought to myself, "This is a great, melodic tune by a true master that I cannot wait to hear finalized."
  12. Total agreement... nothing beats the work on Poor Places. I feel like IATTBYH has really evolved since the studio version, which I loved. However, I feel that A Ghost Is Born was really expanded live. I prefer those live, and it's also nice to hear Jeff's presently developed voice sing the older songs. I do think that Summerteeth had some great aspects in the studio though.
  13. Yeah, I know what you mean... the live versions are expansive and allow further creativity and opportunity, but there are some effects that only a studio can create (hushed vocals on Kamera, etc.) The little things like that are nice.
  14. I am a huge fan of the live stuff, but I have to appreciate the studio creation as far as the noise thing goes on records like YHF...
  15. I attended the Friday show but I really wish that I had gone to the other two. Looking back, these three concerts were pretty epic. After listening to the shows, I think Saturday may be my favorite because of the older gems, but the Thursday show had killer songs and Friday was rockin... what are your thoughts on the best of the three?
  16. hhaha nice... sounds like an epic show, and what a historical venue to boot... I was wondering, I know the dvd was very well edited... but I checked wilco base and I know the trailer showed a lot of the Nashville and Tulsa (white suit,) but the Total Pros were not at either of those shows... the horns in the background in the trailer are SICK.. which concert were those from? DC maybe?
  17. I just want that white jacket with the roses... you know the one http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2002/232582...aea697b.jpg?v=0
  18. Jeff and the gang have some pretty sick threads (see Lollapalooza with the nudie suits, Nashville, Cain's, and STL with the sick white suit with the roses. Jeff always has some kind of awesome blazer... Anyone know more about how this stuff can be acquired?
