Where does the Weir reference come from? I missed that.
Are there any contemporary jam bands that you think have the stuff that The Grateful Dead had? Is there anybody that you see out there that you admire?
“Yeah, I’m a big fan of Wilco’s, for instance. I don’t so much care for their records as I love what they do live. Having played on the same bill with them a couple of times, I was dazzled. Aside from that, really, I don’t listen to a lot of current, contemporary music. And so I’m not the one to ask.”

I love that both Bob Weir and Paul McCartney are fans of Wilco

Jeff looks like a drunk hobo who was walking past a photo shoot of a band whom happen to be missing its frontman but had a suit laying there and said "Hey...homeless guy. Here, put on this suit and jump in this picture real quick" and he agreed under the condition he could leave his hat on.
Funny... he's never been the most stylish guy... this made me laugh

love the piano towards the end of Red Eyed and Blue... Jeff gives Jay a big smile... it's cool

Milli Vanilli once one a Grammy. There is absolutely no honor in this award. It may have sold a few records for them, but since it's not even given out on the show, I doubt that. Stop caring about something as trivial as a Grammy.
I hear ya... it just would've been nice

So, part of me likes the fact that Wilco flies under the mainstream radar and I know many of you agree... the no radio play type comments.... that being said, I would really like to see Jeff and the boys take this one home... they deserve it and quite honestly, the music industry could benefit from it as well. I have a good feeling about this one...

while i love the current wilco line-up, there was something special going on during this era... great set... would have liked the old school arrangement of 'someone else's song' in there, but no complaints at all... thanks for posting

also not on in the Albany/Saratoga area of NY... bummer

maybe a little family gardener... although that is really a tweey solo song... had a nice longish conversation with scott at the first solid sound.... pretty cool guy

nice article, but what Gammy did YHF win? I thought it was AGIB that won the Grammy

I have seen them do 'I Shall Be Released' by Bob Dylan and 'Something In The Air' by Thunderclap Newman (which was great)...

This is also one of my favorite Wilco songs... long time lurker here, but only posted a few times. I've been seeing Wilco live pretty regularly since '04 (25-30 shows)... been interested in Wilco since '02. Was at SSF last year and will be there this year... Big fan of the band. When I saw Wilco last year in Groningen, Netherlands they opened with Sunken Treasure and then played an incredible I'll Fight... what a powerful 1, 2 for a Wilco concert... it was outstanding....

They've got a box full of letters...
I was just trying to figure out how the state of NY could have issued two license plates with the same set of letters.

I just got off the phone with Front Gate Tickets and they said that the e-mails will be going out this coming week.
I heard the same from Wilco via facebook

Has anyone received their Solid Sound Print Pass tickets via email yet? My order confirmation said they would be sent on/around May 3rd... but I haven't seen it in my inbox yet...
Wilco songs they play that you don't want them to
