  1. The lodge looks excellent and is totally affordable. I'll try my hand at a reservation and then work on the other puzzle pieces... Thanks!
  2. Thanks for the airport info! It's extremely useful given my ignorance of New England Hope I can make it out in June! cheers, Ana
  3. Oh boy. I finally decided to give this a shot and now i feel like it's WAY over my head... I'm travelling from Southern California to the East 'coast' for the first time and am confused on even which airport to fly into (!?) Anyone have an extra spot on their campground that I can rent? It's definitely the route I'd rather take to get the most out of this trip but am a little weary of camping solo, especially when VCers are going to be communing nearby! If you are part of the VC camping caravan and have a spot for one more please message me. cheers, Ana

I feel exactly like you do but didn't know how to make it into a sensible statement. I think anyone could respect the musicianship of the band members and the integrity of the lyrics--those types things know no racial boundaries. cheers
  5. I second "Don't think twice" Definitely one of my favorites.
  6. Spoiler?! haha, can't wait! I'm still bummed I wasn't able to get tickets! so close, yet so far...
  7. I had seen the Beavis and Butthead clip with the "Box Full of Letters" video a few months back, but never thought to look for other "old" videos until today... and, oh boy, there are more than I expected. It seemed that Wilco was trying to be mainstream at the time, and that now they're not occupied with that at all and not even making videos (which I actually prefer, anyway). So, I saw BFoL and it was good, and then I watched this: and couldn't believe how ridiculous it was... just, wow. I had to share! What are your thoughts on these videos and the fact that they don't make them a
  8. it doesn't allow me to select a date before Feb 8th... does that mean they're sold out? grrr...
  9. hahhahaha, this one's gold. Honestly, I live near LA and am stuck struggling even more now to get tickets because a few hundred dim-witted people heard about Wilco in a mainstream movie. It's good for them to make their money's worth, but I guess I'm just possessive like that... or would rather go to a concert where the rest of the crowd is as excited as I am to be there. grumble grumble.
  10. I'm fairly new here so I don't know what the rules are on posting photos, or what you all think about it, but I was hoping we could have a forum to post all pics Wilco... either professional (with proper citing) or amateur, old or new. Any objections? or contributions?
  11. ugh, i feel horrible that i missed the webcast last night... is there anyway to catch it online again?
  12. Collaborative project between various musicians (orchestrated by Neil Finn) from earlier this year/late 2008 Jeff, Glen, John and Pat took part--below are videos from the television feature part 1: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=morsKuvb0S8 part 2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s5m2pCnv5h0 part3: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ys73uhGbsw4 part 4: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zx8mZRg-19o part 5-A: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TWaM1jJZkcA part 5-B : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZFz5pa5Lno0 I heard about it through Spencer Tweedy's blog.. I wonder when this stuff will be available-an
  13. how long has that gas station chain been around? also, any idea where the band got their name?
  14. i was hoping it was just me. we have to wait till June 30th now?!
  15. I've loved Wilco for some time, but only recently have become incredibly and inexplicably obsessed. I'm enjoying this thread so much-you guys are AWESOME this is a better idea than you think... I wouldn't feel so weird swooning if I had someone else on the same page are you spying on me?
