I'm in Vancouver and I can get it to play. It starts at the 5min mark.

So did any VCers manage to get tickets for Dallas? I was shut out of the FrontGate presale, a radio station presale, and the TicketMaster regular sale. Both Wilcoworld and TicketMaster are saying the show is sold out. I'm wondering what the chances are of another release of tickets closer to the date of the show...

Here's a quick rundown of my personal favorites. These are shows from previous iterations of the band (read: not the current lineup). My top three are in bold. I spent several years during a hardcore Wilco binge working my way through a lot of the stuff on Owl & Bear to find the best sounding recordings. Many, if not most of these, are available to stream at the website Wilco Me mentioned.

If you wish to dig deeper, there are many, many threads on this same topic. Links to several are below. Pretty sure I cited a lot of the aforementioned shows in a few of these threads, too.
Best sounding recent show? (April 2010)
Best bootleg/live concert (December 2009)
Best Wilco Shows of all time? (March 2008)
I'll second the three in bold above (the entire list, really). I'd also add:
11/12/96
3/16/02
3/19/02

I would like to congratulate the Dallas bots! You shut me out of the presale on Wednesday and now you've pulled off the sweep. Not a single fucking ticket was available either through the presale or from Ticketmaster at the regular public sale... and I started trying at the very first second of the sale. Not even balcony seats. Looks like I'll be making some secondary market seller's Christmas a couple hundred bucks nicer this year. Assholes.
The same thing happened to me. Ugh.

I really really should have figured out a way to stay in Chicago longer.
Me, too!

Added Nels' Dec 18th show. Anybody heard anything about Letters to Santa for 2014?
According to "The Second City That Never Sleeps" FB page, it'll be Dec 16-17

Thank you, Sarah. Not in the minority.

Also...I added that beck song reader song to my album as a bonus track. It works very well on disc 2
That's a great idea. It's probably the best song on the Song Reader record.

I'm going to use the f-word now: free. Send me a PM.

These three tickets are still available. Make an offer. (And honestly, I'm not good at haggling!) I'd really just like to let these go rather than see the seats be empty.
-
I have three extras: a pair in Orch 1, Row J; and a single in Orch 2, Row M. All three are "will call" tickets so we would have to arrange to meet at the venue. Pls send a PM if interested. Thanks.

Beck!

Trying to pinpoint the era. There's a steel guitarist in the background...Bob Egan? A shirtless Tweedy also could narrow this to the Being There tour, known for its raucousness and wild stage antics.
I thought for sure, given your screen name, you would mention his right arm tan.

"Simple Twist of Fate" by Jeff on CBC RadioTwo Morning.

also, for the Canadians out there, War on Drugs remind me a lot of bands like Blue Rodeo, and Tom Cochrane. which is amazing
That's an interesting comment. How so? I don't hear that at all!

Beck - Morning Phase
The War On Drugs - Lost in the Dream
Neil Finn - Dizzy Heights
Sun Kil Moon - Benji
DBT - English Oceans
I haven't spent enough time listening to THS' "Teeth Dreams" yet. Soon.

The fellow who uploaded this show said it's been taken down. He put it up on dime if anyone is looking for it:

what did you find condescending? I did not hear that at all.
what a great interview and great guy.
I didn't find Maron condescending either, however, the first person who commented on the WTF page mentioned the same thing. I'm curious...

This is a great interview. Jason is such an interesting guy.
