  1. I wonder if he has ever sung New Age.
  2. Didn't he yell at your camera? I'm Sticking With You - odd choice?
  3. Oh I just hate anything that makes me think of work sometimes.
  4. I like Z better now that I have a copy without spyware on it.
  5. Dear Landlord Unhalfbricking re-release bonus track Bird On A Wire Fairport Convention - Live At The BBC
  6. My typing is screwed for the day - anyhow - there's a book out there too. Of course, it goes on about her being a drunk - but that's no surprise.
  7. Ha ha I meant to post Dear Landlord beside that.
  8. Various Youtube videos. Sadly, the Fotheringay take on Too Much of Nothin' is no longer up there. A Wikipedia page about her. A Boxful of Treasures - boxset. Fairport Convention albums: Heyday (1968-1969), What We Did on Our Holidays (January 1969), Unhalfbricking (July 1969), and Liege & Lief (December 1969). This is pretty heavy music - not exactly a happy happy joy joy deal - if you know what I mean. But it is great stuff - and people should know more than the fact that she was the female voice on The Battle of Evermore. I rather like the following songs: 3:10 To Yuma
  9. Cosmic, man. I think she put out some cover song album this past year.
  10. Speaking of ladies - anyone see them when Joan Osborne was in the band? I guess people loved her or hated her, yes?
  11. There was another one - with Neal Schon - Tri-Chrome? Or something like that.
  12. Racing in the Street - that is a very heavy song - one of my favorites. Thanks for posting.
  13. Like a certain Ryan Adams song that I can't think of at the moment - Just One Thing is an MMJ song that is special to me -
  14. That one - Thank You Too, Librarian (although I hate most anything to do with that word), and Look at You. I don't know what to think about the rest - it's an MMJ album, quite songs, noisy songs, experimental songs - ain't it?
  15. As I recall reading somewhere (Harp?) Mr. Costello is not to happy about people monkeying with the track order of his releases, as well as, people snagging music for free. So maybe he is trying to put a stop to that - for a short period of time, anyhow. Didn't The White Stripes release one of their albums this way a few years ago?
  16. Speaking of BTR - the day that came out I was in New York with Ms. Viatroy. We went around to various places - no one had it. We ended up in a Best Buy - where the guy said they were in the back - not yet unpacked. When we were leaving, I noticed a whole stack of them on a table. I went through something similar with The Song Remains The Same soundtrack/DVD re-issue. First, I went to the store where I generally get cds - they said they could not get it. I went to a Best Buy - and they had the soundtrack, but not the DVD. The guy trying to help me did not seem to comprehended that there was
  17. Yea - me too. I will feel that way when all the Tom Petty/Bruce Springsteen cds get re-issued. U2 is now re-doing all of their cds - two more are coming out this summer. A song I never really paid attention to - Darlin' One - I sort of dig it.
  18. I think it sounds pretty good - plus it was nice to hear some of the unreleased tracks in good quality. The liner notes could have been longer - but, they were written by Peter Blackstock - so they are good. Here is the thread about it - if you want to read it: The thread.
  19. I just noticed that the line "It's too late to turn back, here we go" is used in both of the following songs: Talent Show and Portland.
  20. It seems he has started, or been a part of several bands the past few years.
  21. Isn't that frustrating as hell? I was very surprised to find the recent Strangers Almanac re-issue at Best Buy. I hate buying cds in such places - but that is all there is for me these days. About ten years ago, there was a record store in Pittsburgh that I use to go to - they had an alt.country cd section. As the man said at Woodstock "We must be in heaven, man." That is how I felt when I went to that place. Of course, it is gone now.
