  1. Leaked? Music stealer! I don't know if I will buy them or not - as I seldom ever listen to the band. I am curious to how they sound though.
  2. If someone could grab me a copy and mail it to me - that would be cool. The only place that carries it here - seems to not be getting the last issue.
  3. I believe a lot of bands from the 70s, as well as, various old metal acts are doing tours like that now. I have often read that those type of bands you mentioned do big business - particularly when they do summer shed tours. I see that STP is back at it now - after Scott was kicked out of Velvet Revolver. Personally, I am not a fan of bands that hire replacements for their former lead singers and then carry on. I was never into Journey, Styx, etc. But millions of people were - so they have a audience to play to. I recall that we had a thread like this once - and there were was some talk about
  4. Paul Westerberg interview at billboard.com. Tommy Stinson interview at billboard.com.
  5. Seven years after David Duchovny left the TV series and 10 since the first ''X-Files'' movie, odd couple Mulder and Scully resume their search for the truth.
  6. That is one of the drawbacks. The other two are: the place I live in is falling apart, and I am almost entirely surrounded by noise making college students now.
  7. As I recall, that is one of those Jacques Levy/Roger McGuinn songs they wrote together for their version of Peer Gynt.
  8. Lover of The Bayou is a Byrds song off of the Untitled album.
  9. If I recall, during my HS years - 1980-1984, it was Ozzy, Motley Crue, AC/DC, Van Halen, etc. I've said this before, but I did not really get into metal until 1985 - as a kid/teenager, I listened to the same music I prefer now, music from the 60s.
  10. Joke - I wish someone would post in that thread regarding the merits of the re-issues though.
  11. I'd say AC/DC is a blues band - particularly during the Bon Scott era. I have never viewed Van Halen as metal either. As has been said, it comes down to your definition of metal.
  12. Dell Support Forum I am having a problem right now that so far seems to be beyond help - but there seems to be a lot of good help offered at the that forum.
  13. We are talking about the Jeff Beck and Jimmy Pager era Yardbirds, of course.
  14. Oh I am not saying those bands were heavy metal - but rather influences. Yes, I guess The Yardies are an influence on heavy metal, but to me they were one of the first British Power Blues bands.
