It seems he has started, or been a part of several bands the past few years.

Isn't that frustrating as hell? I was very surprised to find the recent Strangers Almanac re-issue at Best Buy. I hate buying cds in such places - but that is all there is for me these days. About ten years ago, there was a record store in Pittsburgh that I use to go to - they had an alt.country cd section. As the man said at Woodstock "We must be in heaven, man." That is how I felt when I went to that place. Of course, it is gone now.

I have said this before - but I bought the boxset from a few years ago - and the mixes are different and there are added parts in some of the songs. I don't like that at all. I don't know if the newest re-masters are the same deal or not. I have one original pressing - Waiting For The Sun - and it sounds pretty cool.

Good point. See what you can do. -
Leaked? Music stealer! I don't know if I will buy them or not - as I seldom ever listen to the band. I am curious to how they sound though.

If someone could grab me a copy and mail it to me - that would be cool. The only place that carries it here - seems to not be getting the last issue. -

Are there any bands you hope will reunite?

I believe a lot of bands from the 70s, as well as, various old metal acts are doing tours like that now. I have often read that those type of bands you mentioned do big business - particularly when they do summer shed tours. I see that STP is back at it now - after Scott was kicked out of Velvet Revolver. Personally, I am not a fan of bands that hire replacements for their former lead singers and then carry on. I was never into Journey, Styx, etc. But millions of people were - so they have a audience to play to. I recall that we had a thread like this once - and there were was some talk about -

The Crowd. -
Seven years after David Duchovny left the TV series and 10 since the first ''X-Files'' movie, odd couple Mulder and Scully resume their search for the truth.

I don't like to show off.

That is one of the drawbacks. The other two are: the place I live in is falling apart, and I am almost entirely surrounded by noise making college students now.

A 12 minute walk.

As I recall, that is one of those Jacques Levy/Roger McGuinn songs they wrote together for their version of Peer Gynt.

Lover of The Bayou is a Byrds song off of the Untitled album.

If I recall, during my HS years - 1980-1984, it was Ozzy, Motley Crue, AC/DC, Van Halen, etc. I've said this before, but I did not really get into metal until 1985 - as a kid/teenager, I listened to the same music I prefer now, music from the 60s.
-
Joke - I wish someone would post in that thread regarding the merits of the re-issues though.
-
I'd say AC/DC is a blues band - particularly during the Bon Scott era. I have never viewed Van Halen as metal either. As has been said, it comes down to your definition of metal.
