To this day, I don't really listen to that album much.

Sounds like Beachwood Sparks to me -
Eight years after his solo debut, Sean Lennon will return Sept. 26 with the Capitol album "Friendly Fire," which features contributions from Jon Brion, session drummer Matt Chamberlain, Cibo Matto's Yuka Honda, Paul Simon's son Harper and actress Bijou Phillips.Lennon describes "Friendly Fire" as "an experiment to see what it might be like to do music more publicly again" after limiting his recent recorded output to collaborations with artists such as Handsome Boy Modeling School, Money Mark, Ben Lee and Ryan Adams.
The 10-track "Friendly Fire," which includes a cover of Marc Bolan's "Would I Be the One," is the follow-up to 1998's "Into the Sun." That album, issued by the Beastie Boys' now-defunct Grand Royal label, debuted at No. 4 on Billboard's Heatseekers chart.
In conjunction with the new album, Lennon and director Michelle Civetta have created short films for each song. They feature appearances by Phillips, Lindsay Lohan, Carrie Fisher, Asia Argento and Jordana Brewster, among others. A trail is available from Lennon's Web site.
Here is the track list for "Friendly Fire":
"Dead Meat"
"Wait for Me"
"Parachute"
"Friendly Fire"
"Spectacle"
"Tomorrow"
"On Again, Off Again"
"Headlights"
"Would I Be the One"
"Falling Out of Love"

Do you think when Taime Downe uses the fax he changes the ring to PA-PA-PA-PA-PA-PA-PUSSYCAT?
I bet.
-
You're not going to use that are you?
-
I think they are using the fax machine at Dan-O's Sports Tavern - that is, when The Vince Neil Band and/or Faster Pussycat is not using it.
-
I once saw an episide of that HBO show Real Sex - that has something like that going on.
-
I saw them with Skynrd (the originals) in like '75 at the Chicago Amphitheatre. The smoke was so thick in there you couldn't see across it. I think that Argent was also on that bill. The Outlaws played every song with 4 or 5 lead/rhythm guitarists.
Dudes from the south don't fook around when it comes to guitar power.
-
Yes - we had a thread about that a few months ago.
-
wow.....aren't the Doors dead?
You need to keep up on your music has-beens news. The Outlaws are coming here for bikerfest - in case you did not know that either.
-
I wonder whatever happened to Ian Astbury.....
As for Billy Duffy - I do know that a guy I used to date plays footy with him and Steve Jones from the Sex Pistols in some LA league.......
man that video sucks.
--
I am now watching the Fire Woman video......I can't believe I used to like this song too.
he has been with The Doors for the last several years

I don't care for Billy Bragg, Woody Guthrie, socialism, or the old dude with the beard, but I would like to see the whole concert at the end of the film.
-
I'd say The Venture Bros. beat them all last night - "The apaches are here again - there's a teepee in my pants!"

That is a very good live album, you're right.
Have you got the MIU/La cd? That is the only 2 albums from the 70's I don't have, but I am not too sure if it is worth owning. What do you think?
I have them all. I am a completist on a few bands still + there is always a good song here and there somewhere.
-
I own them all now - since I finally got the Christmas cd a while back. If one is going to buy them, make sure you get the 2000 re-masters. The ones before that sound like shit. And - as BBH noted - you actually get two cds for the price of one in most cases. One overlooked gem is this one:
-
I didn't think Reno was all that great.
-
I have all the NY albums up thru 1979 - after that, I am not all that interested.
-
Wasn't Derek St. Holmes really one of the reasons Nuge had all of his 70's hits?
I don't know all that much about Ted's band - but I think that dude sung on many of his early solo albums.
I was listening to a CSNY thing on the radio and they were talking about how Kent State happened, Neil heard about it on the news and wrote Ohio that same evening, he then flew to LA the next day where CSNY recorded it that same day. It was released within two weeks of the event. This is right - and it is very odd to see people "dancing" when they do this song in concert.

much to the distress of the caliber patriarch, i am not taking the caliber name. He is, in fact, taking the bobblehead name.
only kidding.
and married life is really nice. It is great to finally have sex after all this time!!
Some friends of mine tried to do that - that is, the man taking the woman's name - the state would not let them.
-
Can someone name a Ted Nugent song that I might know?
Honestly, the only reason I know of him is because Goldfinger has a song called "Fuck Ted Nugent".
Now that statement makes me feel old.
-
A lot of bands are doing this now - Pearl Jam led the way. Instant Live is another company doing this.
-
"Chop your breakfast on a mirrior" how can you go from that to the crap the write now.
Shark jumping album.
There are some great drums on that album - but no bass! I wonder who mixed it. ha ha
That guy from Biohazard reminds me of why I stopped going to hardcore matinee shows when I lived in Boston. Big, dumb NYHC mook.I don't own anything by any of those bands - except a couple of Anthrax tapes. I missed out on that whole hardcore-metal thing. I like one Ted Nugent song though - Great White Buffalo.

I know! Me too! One of my all time favorite stories. Graham, how about finding it in the archives for us? You are good at that.......
She has it - just axe her to post it.
