  1. well, if you've ever played soccer, you know it's anything but non-contact.

it has this reputation as being a wussy sport, but no other major sport, in my opinion, requires more stamina and mental toughness.

That's what they thought, not me.

  2. Thank you for another racist, hate-filled post.

You're welcome, two tons of fun.

Pro Basketball, NASCAR, and most baseball (I'm only interested in certain teams).

I like some baseball - but not really into it. Anything else, I can not stand to watch. I use to like to watch soccer when I was a teenager.

  3. Good morning mister sunshine, you brighten up my day.

Come sit beside me in your way.

I see you every morning, outside the restaurants,

    The music plays so nonchalant.

Lonely days, lonely nights. Where would I be without my woman?

It was a one-two encounter between Axl Rose and Tommy Hilfiger. The rocker and designer capped a Thursday evening out at a new club called The Plumm in Manhattan's Chelsea neighborhood with midnight fisticuffs.

"There was an issue between the two of them," Plumm owner Noel Ashman told The Associated Press.

The scuffle reportedly started after the Guns N' Roses front man moved the drink of Hilfiger's girlfriend, Dee Ocleppo.

"I moved his girlfriend's drink so it wouldn't spill," Rose told the Los Angeles radio station KROQ on Friday. "It was the most surreal thing, I think, that's ever happened to me in my life."

According to the 44-year-old singer, Hilfiger, 55, smacked him in the arm and told him to put the drink back.

"He just kept smacking me," Rose said.

Attempts to reach Hilfiger or a representative were not immediately successful.

Rose was there to play a surprise set for "Rent" actress Rosario Dawson for her 27th birthday party.

At the time of the dustup, The Plumm was packed with a celebrity crowd including Lenny Kravitz, Mickey Rourke, Kid Rock, Peter Beard, Molly Simms, Wentworth Miller, Ann Dexter Jones, Lydia Hearst and Damon Dash.

Rose did perform, and dedicated the song "You're Crazy" to "my good friend Tommy Hilfiger."

  5. Long time since I climbed down this mountain before

Things I've seen here make me want to go running home

Lean close put your lips next to my face

Look further on past the surface

    Orange, blue, red & green

Are the colors of what I feel

And my mind y'know it starts to reel in time

To know your flesh layin' by my skin

And I wonder whenever I'm in

    Warm, soft, nice & now

Are the word things of what I know

And my body y'know it's so in time

I see you at the same place that I play

Ah darlin' tell me what can I say

    Dance, sing, sleep& dream

Is the music of what I feel

Among the many things whenever you're near in time

    Come with me my friend

Come on now and take my hand

    You can be my friend

    Soon be in another country

  6. Band closes out four-show NYC stint with a bang.

Leave it to Axl Rose to save the best for last.

On Wednesday night, during the band's fourth and final warm-up show at New York's Hammerstein Ballroom, the much-rumored reunion of Axl with erstwhile GN'R guitarist Izzy Stradlin finally came to pass.

Izzy's appearance led many in attendance to believe that former lead guitarist Slash, who was similarly touted by insiders as a possible guest performer before the band's first New York gig on May 12, wouldn't be far behind

  7. Vacate is the word...vengeance has no place so near to her

Cannot find the comfort in this world

    Artificial tear...vessel stabbed...next up, volunteers

    Vulnerable, wisdom can't adhere...

A truant finds home...and a wish to hold on...

    But there's a trapdoor in the sun...immortality...

As privileged as a whore...victims in demand for public show

Swept out through the cracks beneath the door

    Holier than thou, how?

    Surrendered...executed anyhow

Scrawl dissolved, cigar box on the floor...

A truant finds home...and a wish to hold on, to...

But saw the trapdoor in the sun...

    Immortality...

I cannot stop the thought...of running in the dark...

Coming up a which way sign...all good truants must decide...

Oh, stripped and sold, mom...(auctioned forearm)...

    And whispers in the sand...

    Truants move on...cannot stay long

    Some die just to live...

    Ohh...

  8. Well I found me a little girl and I settled down

In a pretty little house in a pretty little town

We got married and promised never to part

Then little by little we drifted from each other's hearts

Now I'm drivin' a stolen car on a pitch-black night

And I'm doin' my best to make it through

Well I'm just sittin' down here at the Stanton light

I wanna get caught but I never do

At first I thought it was just restlessness

That would fade as time went by and our love grew deep

But in the end it was something more, I guess

That tore us apart and made us weep

And I'm drivin' a stolen car waitin' on that little red light

I keep tellin' myself everything's gonna be alright

But I ride by night and I travel in fear

That in this darkness I might just disappear

She asked if I remembered the letters I wrote

When our love was young and we were bold

She said last night she read those letters

And they made her feel a hundred years old

There's a river that runs by that little town

    Down into the sea

It was there in the shade I laid my body down

As she flowed on so effortlessly

Now there's a party tonight out at County Line

There'll be dancing down at Seven Trees

From these banks I can see those party lights shine

Maybe she's there, maybe she's looking for me

Last night I dreamed I made the call

I swore to return and stay forevermore

Once again we stood on the wedding steps at Victory Hall

And walked arm in arm through the chapel door

I can remember how good I felt inside

When the preacher said "Son, you may kiss the bride"

But as I leaned over to touch here pretty lips

I felt it all slip away through my fingertips

And I'm driving a stolen car through a pitch-black night

I keep tellin' myself everything's gonna be alright

But I ride by night and I travel in fear

No matter what I do or where I drive

Nobody ever sees me when I ride by
