Pennsylvania snow is pretty thick, Michigan ain't where I get my kicks. Texas is fine but it gets too hot, And New York City's not a place to stop. New Orleans is the home of the blues, But California's my home with Mary Hughes. Down in Mississippi I'm told is nice, And all the meals there, they come with rice. Oregon and Iowa are not for me, The Colorado mountains are something you must see. But back in California there's nothing to lose, 'Cos everything's swinging there with Mary Hughes

I think that is a mixture of makeup, light, and digital photography at work there - as it is in most of the photos posted in this thread that come from some sort of magazine.

Well, once I was a stone, many years ago Into a pool was thrown, many years ago Time went by and the pool ran dry Excavated was I, and tempered and beat in the fiery heat By the hand of a man, whose name was Dan, Dan the blacksmith Well once I was a sword, many years ago And my blade was broad, many years ago Wore it with pride, and into battle I'd ride, on a warrior side And cut my tail, their was loss of my tail and soon did rust ,corrode to dust, oh my Well once I was a daisy, many years ago In pastures green and lazy, many years ago But I was et by a goat who fell in a moat And forgett

I went out today And I was looking at the people on the street They weren't threatening to me And I was noticing how it was kinda sweet How I been changing a lot How I think maybe, if I could find a way To fall back in love with the world And end up forgiving us eventually Because I've never lived anywhere but in my head Think that my eyes might of hidden instead Ask me to forgive us for the things that we did And I do, and I did But the suns comes out and I hide From whatever it is that's been tearing me up inside But you weren't out today You're just lying there and

I love you, 'cause you tell me things I want to know. And it's true that it really only goes to show, That I know, That I, I, I, I should never, never, never be blue. Now you're mine, my happiness still makes me cry. And in time, you'll understand the reason why, If I cry, It's not because I'm sad, but you're the only love that I've ever had. I can't believe it's happened to me I can't conceive of any more misery. Ask me why, I'll say I love you, And I'm always thinking of you. I love you, 'cause you tell me things I want to know. And it's true that it really only goes to show, That I

In the attics of my life Full of cloudy dreams unreal Full of tastes no tongue can know And lights no eye can see When there was no ear to hear You sang to me I have spent my life Seeking all that's still unsung Bent my ear to hear the tune And closed my eyes to see When there were no strings to play You played to me In the book of love's own dream Where all the print is blood Where all the pages are my days And all my lights grow old When I had no wings to fly You flew to me You flew to me In the secret space of dreams Where I dreaming lay amazed When the secrets all are told A

Rose lived on the south side of town Until her landlord showed up with two hundred dollar bills A notice of eviction on the other hand Now she don't live there no more, and everyone thinks he drowned, I pulled into Mecklenburg on them trains Into a station that got flooded when they opened up the dam And broke their connections to the railway lines So they could blast into the quarry, and for every load of granite, we got a ton of worry One night at the diner over eggs, Over easy she showed me the length of her legs, But that gold plated cross on her neck, it was

Met myself a comin' county welfare line. I was feelin' strung out, Hung out on the line. Saw myself a goin', down to war in June. All I want, All I want is to write myself a tune. Wrote A Song For Ev'ryone, Wrote a song for truth. Wrote A Song For Ev'ryone When I couldn't even talk to you. Got myself arrested, Wound me up in jail. Richmond 'bout to blow up, Communication failed. If you see the answer, now's the time to say. All I want, All I want is to get you down to pray. Wrote A Song For Ev'ryone, Wrote a song for truth. Wrote A Song For Ev'ryone When I couldn't even talk to you. Sa
