I felt the same way when I heard the end of Ambling Alps, except that goes back one more era, perhaps...

All Hour Cymbals caught me off guard. I enjoyed that album a lot. As for Odd Blood, I'm swimming in psychedelia, and I have no complaints yet. I do want to give it a couple more listens before I make a verdict. Pitchfork will review Odd Blood by the end of the week. I'm glad they gave Gil Scott-Heron's I'm New Here a great score and review.

Trying not to saturate my weekend with spins of IRM. Knife, The - Tomorrow In A Year

I was listening to it on Spinner and I had to contain myself multiple times. He's done great work in Parks And Recreation, so I figured I'd give it a listen, and it's pretty good. I'm surprised by the space the album creates. I can't escape the allure of Heaven Can Wait.

Take a look at number 03. Take a look at review score. Who'll be laughing when end of the year comes?

Leno isn't getting his "old show back", but NBC plans to give him his time slot back with The Jay Leno Show while NBC moves the Tonight Show to 12:05.

Many things get misconstrued on the phone from tone to pronunciation. If your recipient isn't actively checking his/her e-mail, then you have a delayed response. If you and your recipient used IM, and if your recipient is at desk, (s)he will see the notification without actively looking for inbox; if (s)he isn't at the desk, then (s)he will not receive it until (s)he gets back. IMs are for long distance communication, and convenience. If they're in close proximity, of course you'd walk to talk to your coworkers. Also, factor in the possibility that people prioritize conversations differe

E-mail specializes in long distance concise constructed messages. IMs also do that, but they do not have the assurance factor; instead, IMs have a high convenience factor. IMs allow long conversations written in real-time, unlike e-mails. IMs and e-mails are two different monsters. IM is to phone as e-mail is to letter. And on that note, I think Google Wave (its communication form) will supercede E-mail.

Gnarls Barkley makes superb singles and good albums, but unfortunately not superb albums.
