  1. It's not as great as Angel's Not Fade Away, Firefly's Objects In Space, Malcolm In The Middle's Graduation, or even The Devil's Hands Are Idle Playthings, Futurama's original finale; but I think they closed the series in a great manner. They concluded thoughts and themes about letting go, moving ahead, finding a purpose in life, free will, choice, location, and the ideas of faith. Reminds me of Evangelion.
  2. Can Richard create that meeting place too if he doesn't know who Christian Shephard is?
  3. I think Wishful Thinking is the best song on A Ghost Is Born and I'm very sure I'm in the minority.
  4. Well, based on her concept, I think she should have just released a double album of all 4 suites. The way that she's arranged the releases doesn't make too much sense conceptually; monetarily, it makes a lot of sense. And now I debate on whether to buy the album now or later when she releases all 4 suites in 1 package, because it will happen even if she hasn't said it yet.
  5. No, I really think the lyrics are just drab. They're not awful like The Late Greats, but it's not like "Cigarettes taste so good", "I dreamt of killing you again last night", nor "someone ties a bow in my backyard to show me love". It lacks sharpness: it's conversational.
  6. As a great Lenny once said,... I conquer.
  7. 1) Rose And Bernard? 2) Miles?! 3) Richard?! (very unlikely)
  8. Nice guitar work, yes. Lyrics are okay, but it doesn't paint a picture in any resounding manner. I wouldn't cringe, but I'm not a fan.
  9. I really like Sleigh Bells' Treats. If you're wondering what it sounds like, then think of what would happen if Justice and The Go! Team got into a T-Bone and the sound of the crash is the music that you would hear on Treats. Tame Impala's Innerspeaker sounds like a pretty good psychedelic album. There's nothing groundbreaking, but there's nothing wrong. Some of the solos on the album are magnificent. I would definitely recommend both of those albums.
  10. This thread is not about semantics, but requires semantics, especially in an online discussion site where everyone reads and writes. Someone did not comprehend my comment and you could not parse my sentence. I elaborated; and now you two deflect.
  11. Good does not mean nor automatically imply like. Example, insulin shots are good, but it doesn't mean that whoever is taking them likes it.
  12. You've served up quite the false fallacy there, kiddo. Boxer is a pretty good album with great songs, but I didn't like the album. Is that a difficult sentence to understand?
  13. This is the National album that's making me a fan, I think. I thought Boxer was pretty good, but I didn't like it, and I couldn't figure out why. Sleigh Bells - Treats Excellence.
  14. I really liked Jackie, Dressed In Cobras. I don't think Bejar has come any closer to something as accessible as Dressed In Cobras. And isn't Streets Of Fire a Destroyer song redone for Twin Cinema?
  15. Always liked Twin Cinema more than Mass Romantic and Electric Version. I could never get over some of the awful lyrics from Mass Romantic (although some of it is excellent in stark contrast), but the music from that album is great. Twin Cinema > Electric Version > Mass Romantic > Together > Challengers
  16. I should go get this. I feel really bad for skipping their concert, but school work is a good reason.
