  1. Actually, Merge Records has been streaming Andorra for the past two months on its official website. In fact, it's still on the front page, just like God Save The Clientele. Speaking of which...
  2. The sooner this thread sinks, the faster we accomplish our goal in educating bad PR. Plus, less people will see this eyesore.
  3. Well if you wanted to focus on strictly the lyrics or the music, then choose to do so. If the artist wanted to focus on the melody, but they couldn't come up with excellent lyrics, then leave the lyrics behind, and vice versa. It's not as black and white as it sounds. But don't half-ass a job because the words and music are a part of a whole.
  4. Looks like October is quite the month for Detroit (and people in Ann Arbor).
  5. Well, I do. I think it's just as essential as the music itself. You can't just indulge on the music and throw some crappy words like "letter from an occupant" on top of it. Ick. Words also form harmony, and if you throw something that's awful on top of it, you're ruining the juxtaposition of the English and the Maths.
  6. I always thought the lyrical work on Mass Romantic and Electric Version were crapshoot unless Bejar wrote them. Newman vastly improved on his solo outing as well as Twin Cinema.
  7. Bad news, nobodies. I've found some even better adult only "comic books".
  8. Almost anything by Alan Moore is adult rated. Also, they're called Graphic Novels, maaaaaan.
  9. I've been to one of their show and found it amusing that people could mosh to Grass. At the show I attended, Animal Collective segued songs from beginning to end to form a seamless main set. I definitely had fun as Panda Bear pounded the drum like no other bear could pound. And Geologist's miner's hat is still pretty amusing now that I think back.
  10. Man Man is a band from Philadelphia. And just sometimes, Wikipedia is reliable. I highly recommend Six Demon Bag, which definitely made top 3 of my 2006 list. But what the hell do I know about music? Also, NPR has a stream of one of their live shows. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.
  11. It's so good that I should revisit the other half of their discography, heh.
  12. I blossomed in happiness when Yorke finally decided it was a good idea to open a concert with You And Whose Army?
  13. Jeff Tweedy, Jay Bennett, R. Kelly, and Steven Drozd I can't wait to see them create the next opera: "Trapped In The Jar".

  15. I lent my casual friend a copy of Sound Of Silver and he fell asleep and almost crashed. He blames the CD for putting him in a sleepy mood. Sigh.
  16. That was not an impressive performance by Mr. Brock on Conan. -(
