  1. 40th Anniversary show tonight at 8pm on NBC. Looks to be a fast paced show to be able to get to all the guests they've invited to make an appearance.

Just like a high school reunion here are the cast members (full and bit members) who have passed on:
    John Belushi
    Tom Davis (Franken & Davis)
    Chris Farley
    Phil Hartman
    Jan Hooks
Andy Kaufman (appeared on 15 episodes)
    Michael O'Donoghue
    Gilda Radner
    Charles Rocket
    Danitra Vance

  2. Ever heard of the term "Brucetramp"?

Maybe not 'official', but is pretty universal.

How about something along the lines of "Wilco Fan"?

We don't really need some meta, self referential, self reverential term to express our fandom, do we?

Re Brucetramp not heard that one perhaps closer to NJ ? I'm over 75 shows since 80s and I'm kind of glad their is no singular defining Bruce & ESB fanbase. I would like same; for my Second Favorite American Band ..

No defining fanbase title / hey it's one mans opinion .. Now get back to work

  3.  I really was annoyed by this oldie but when I went to cut & paste the lyrics

I realized it was Originally written by Leadbelly Go figure
Now I have a job to find original recording

    Play the "Ram Jam" Quiz
    "Black Betty"
    (originally by Lead Belly)

    Whoa, Black Betty, bam-ba-lam
    Whoa, Black Betty, bam-ba-lam
Black Betty had a child, bam-ba-lam
The damn thing gone wild, bam-ba-lam
Said it weren't none of mine, bam-ba-lam
The damn thing gone blind, bam-ba-lam
I said oh, Black Betty, bam-ba-lam
    Whoa, Black Betty, bam-ba-lam

    Whoa, Black Betty, bam-ba-lam
    Whoa, Black Betty, bam-ba-lam
She really gets me high, bam-ba-lam
You know that's no lie, bam-ba-lam
    She's so rock steady, bam-ba-lam
    And she's always ready, bam-ba-lam
    Whoa, Black Betty, bam-ba-lam
    Whoa, Black Betty, bam-ba-lam

    Whoa, Black Betty, bam-ba-lam
    Whoa, Black Betty, bam-ba-lam
    She's from Birmingham, bam-ba-lam
    Way down in Alabam', bam-ba-lam
Well, she's shakin' that thing, bam-ba-lam
Boy, she makes me sing, bam-ba-lam
    Whoa, Black Betty, bam-ba-lam
    Whoa, Black Betty, bam-ba-lam

  4. Here's hoping they serve their Auidience in New England by hitting more than just Solid Sound because they are finite dates that not all Fans can make ....

Where as traveling to RI Ct or NH are all doable ... But if that it's It so be it

  5. probably a bunch of shitheads. just like 30 years ago.

Got to differ w/ your opinion here. not saying it's a gold standard for giving back. George Harrison defined that level a decade prior.

However IMO there was plenty of talent in that room

    Ray Charles

    Bob Dylan

    Paul Simon

    Bruce Springsteen

    Diana Ross

    Waylon Jennings

    Stevie Wonder

    Willie Nelson

    Bob Geldoff

Michael Jackson / co writer w/ Lionel Ritchie

Some others did not add much in voice perhaps, but then again who am I to judge ? As they donated their time, so kudos to all for showing up.

    Footnote

    We are the World

Sold over 20 Million it remains one of

  6. I just got the CD box set of the mono albums last year. They do sound fantastic. Not sure if I'm going to shell out $400 for this.

Made the same purchase, very happy I did.

Most likely will pass as well. As I own all original full excepting the pulled album cover I have the second printing of that.

Many were purchased at Moving sales in last 15 yrs.
