  1. Just to fill in what I wrote in one of the FB groups, the non GD fans here may scratch their heads at the choice of Tomorrow Never Knows. The Dead covered it during their last few years with Weir singing, which presumably is why they chose to do it at Americanarama. As someone who's been in the GD world since 1972, It meant a lot to me that they paid tribute to Bobby Ace.
  2. This one hits hard and deep. I first saw Weir onstage when he and Garcia and Donna showed up at a New Riders show at the Felt Forum in November 1973. The first of countless nights in Weir's presence. Very sad about this.
  3. Ha! IDK why you're surprised. I've always loved CJ since Trinity Sessions came out in 1988.
  4. Same city, the opposite of Iggy Pop. The Cowboy Junkies.
  5. Ha! I just assumed it was because they're not your musical thing and a Warren is the same as a Derek Not in my world!
  6. Thanks for the recaps. A very enjoyable night in this very pleasant outdoor venue. I had often heard that The Amp is a great venue and it did not disappoint (although the sound was better in the confines of the Jackie Gleason Theater). According to my usher, it is perenially voted the #2 outdoor venue after Red Rocks. I was surprised the show wasn't better attended, which the Usher attributed to it being a Wednesday night. They rely on Orlando and Jacksonville folks to come out and fewer make the drive on a weeknight. I don't know if I've ever seen a Wilco show with zero Being There tunes. Pre
  7. I didn't have any sort of weird atmosphere where we were sitting on the floor. Jeff's comment about the Cali Stars request notwithstanding. A solid Wilco show in front of an all standing crowd. My first FL show was a keeper. Hopefully tonight holds up the same.
  8. Just back from Chicago. I'm heading to the Miami and St. Augustine shows. Road trip!
  9. Jeff Tweedy. We are on our way to Chicago.
  10. Happy anniversary! For some reason I worked backwards to A.M. I was into Uncle Tupelo, but missed this and wasn't turned on to Wilco until Being There came out. I'm going to give this a listen today, still love it to death.
  11. I was not familiar with Jon, he is a great drummer! Was an excellent show!
  12. Michael Shannon/Jason Narducy w/John Stirrat, doing Fables of the Reconstruction
  13. You Satellite! You have to be kidding me. Damn. I requested this a million times for the Deep Cuts show at SS. Hope everyone dug it.
  14. How was your night? I'm watching the Nugs stream right now.
